Carelon Research was founded as HealthCore in 1996 to deliver data-driven insights that enhance decision making for life sciences and healthcare services organizations. Our data underpins over 3,000 scientific publications and our comprehensive end-to-end research services. We maintain the Healthcare Research Database (HIRD®), one of the largest and most comprehensive analysis-ready healthcare data resources, encompassing information from over 90 million patients dating back to 2006. In 2025, we launched Carelon Real World Data (CRWD), a certified de-identified subset of the HIRD, designed to help our clients generate meaningful evidence quickly and effectively.
