    Overview

As AI accelerates both productivity and risk, the identity attack surface is no longer just human. Developers, contractors, AI agents, and automated pipelines all create credentials - and most of those credentials go ungoverned. 1Password Unified Access closes that gap. Built on the foundation of 1Password's trusted Enterprise Password Manager (EPM), Unified Access extends identity security beyond human accounts to provide full visibility, governance, and auditability across humans, AI agents, and machines - all from a single platform.

Discover - Surface AI tools, agent activity, and shadow credentials across endpoints, browsers, local agents, and cloud environments. Identify exposed secrets such as unencrypted SSH keys, plaintext .env files, and unmanaged API tokens - and see exactly which devices and users are associated with that risk.

Secure - Vault exposed credentials and secrets with a single click. Bring human, agent, and machine credentials into one secure, governed system. Apply access policies to high-risk or shared accounts, and enforce secure credential practices across your entire workforce - including contractors and bring-your-own-device users.

Audit - Gain a clear, end-to-end audit trail of who accessed which credentials, when, and on whose behalf - across human, agent, and machine activity. Designed for compliance-conscious security teams who need verifiable proof of access governance.

    Highlights

    • Discover shadow AI, exposed secrets, and unmanaged credentials across all endpoints - before attackers find them first.
    • Secure human, agent, and machine credentials in one platform with policy-driven governance, Device Trust, and Managed Credentials.
    • Audit all credential access end-to-end, across your workforce, AI agents, and automated pipelines - with the trusted security model of 1Password.

    Dimensions summary

You buy 1Password Unified Access through a contract billed per user. The Unified Access Annual Subscription sets your base commitment over a 36-month term, priced per 100 users per year, with pricing arranged directly with 1Password. If your team grows during the term, the Added Unified Access Users dimension lets you add capacity, priced per user per year. Top-of-mind questions for buyers

A user is any identity you govern with the platform. This includes human team members plus non-human identities like AI agents and machine workloads. The platform delivers and audits credentials across all of these. Each governed identity counts toward your per-user total.
The Unified Access Annual Subscription sets your base, priced per 100 users per year over 36 months. The Added Unified Access Users dimension bills per user per year for seats added beyond that base. Both charges appear under the same contract. Your base commitment usually drives most of the cost.
You add capacity through the Added Unified Access Users dimension, priced per user per year. This lets you scale seats beyond your committed base without changing the underlying subscription. The added users bill on the same annual per-user basis as your base.
