Overview
This product provides a preconfigured Ubuntu 22.04 AMI for CPU-based data science and machine learning workloads on AWS.
The base image includes Python 3.11, 3.12, and 3.13, Apache Spark, Java 21, Julia, R, Go, Rust, and Node.js. The pro image adds a curated and smoke-tested CPU ML stack that includes PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, XGBoost, LightGBM, and MLflow.
The AMI includes CIS-aligned hardening controls and on-instance OpenSCAP and Trivy scan support. Security is a shared responsibility. Customers remain responsible for validating suitability for their own security, compliance, and operational requirements, and for securely configuring, patching, monitoring, and controlling access to deployed instances.
Customers are also responsible for validating compatibility, runtime behavior, and performance for their own workloads before production use.

Launch the AMI in Amazon EC2 in us-east-1 using an x86_64 instance type and connect as the ubuntu user with your EC2 key pair.
Basic checks:
