AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for a preconfigured Milvus 2.4 image running on hardened Amazon Linux 2023. Pricing is not tiered by features. Instead, each dimension is a different Amazon EC2 instance type, and every instance carries the same software across all sizes. Your hourly rate depends on the instance you pick. General-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, GPU, and specialized accelerator families are all available. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, storage, or accelerators cost more per hour. You scale cost up or down by choosing the instance that fits your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of billing cover for a given instance type?
One hour covers the running time of a single Amazon EC2 instance of the type you select, with the Milvus 2.4 software preinstalled on hardened Amazon Linux 2023. Each instance carries the same software. Billing counts every hour the instance runs, regardless of how much you query or store.
Am I charged the hourly software rate when my instance is stopped?
The hourly software charge applies only while the instance runs. A stopped instance does not accrue the software rate. Underlying AWS charges, such as storage for attached volumes, may still apply separately even when the instance is stopped.
How do I lower my cost if my workload shrinks?
Cost tracks the instance type you run. To reduce spend, switch to an instance with fewer CPUs, less memory, less storage, or fewer accelerators. The software is identical across all sizes, so you change only the hourly instance rate, not any feature set.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
