Usage instructions
Steps to Access the Instance:
-
Open your terminal or command line on your local system.
-
Use the SSH (Secure Shell) command to access the instance. Replace your-key.pem with the name of the key file you specified at instance launch and your-ip-address with the public IP address of the instance:
ssh -i your-key.pem ec2-user@your-ip-addressMake sure that the key file (your-key.pem) is in the same directory from where you're running the SSH command.
-
You will be prompted to confirm the connection, type "yes," and then press Enter. You will then be connected to the instance as the 'ec2-user' user.
You are now ready to work on your instance using the SSH connection and the 'ec2-user' user. Remember to close the connection when you're done!
Note: Ensure that the key file has the appropriate permissions so that only the owner can read it. You can use the chmod command to set the permissions correctly:
chmod 400 your-key.pemThese instructions will allow you to securely access the instance using SSH and the 'ec2-user' user along with the key you specified during launch.
