Overview
Private AI Workspace for DeepSeek and Local Models by Optick gives organizations a self hosted AI workspace in their own AWS account. It combines Open WebUI for browser based AI chat with Ollama for local model runtime management.
The included DeepSeek R1 7B model is downloaded and prepared automatically during first boot. Each buyer receives a new administrator account and a customer specific sign in file. No external AI API key is required for the included local model.
This product is built for NVIDIA GPU backed Amazon EC2 G5 instances. g5.4xlarge is the recommended production starting point because it provides more CPU and memory headroom for first boot, workspace services, and daily use.
First boot is automated and can take up to 20 minutes. Buyers should wait for MODEL STATUS READY before signing in. The browser page may appear before the AI workspace is fully prepared.
The Ollama runtime is kept internal to the instance. Port 11434 is not exposed publicly. Buyers access the workspace through TCP port 80 and should restrict security group access to trusted IP ranges or protected network paths.
This product requires outbound internet access during first boot to complete the included model and workspace preparation. This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for a preconfigured GPU backed private AI workspace, automated buyer specific first boot setu
