Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for CentOS Stream 8 with GigaOps Runtime Guard, billed on the EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to one instance size, and your rate follows the compute, memory, storage, or accelerator profile of that type. Smaller shared-core types like the t-family cost less per hour, while larger general-purpose, compute, memory, storage, and GPU or accelerator families cost more as capacity rises. You are not locked into one size. Add or change instances anytime, and the software charge applies only while an instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hourly unit maps to one running EC2 instance of the type you select. The charge covers the CentOS Stream 8 image with GigaOps Runtime Guard on that instance. You pay per instance-hour. Running two instances of the same type bills two hourly charges at once.
The software charge applies only while an instance is running. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software fee. Underlying AWS storage or other AWS resources may still bill separately, but the GigaOps Runtime Guard software meters running time only.
Your rate follows the instance type running at each hour. Hours on the old type bill at that type's rate; hours on the new type bill at the new rate. The change is not retroactive. Larger families with more compute, memory, storage, or accelerators cost more per hour.
