Replicated MongoDB can be in 3 different Regions or in a single region. Replication allows your data to be secure and fast in different regions. You can write to the Primary instance and read from the replicas. This is great for faster games and apps. Secondaries can also be used for reports.

A Manager server builds and monitors the 3 MongoDB instances. When deployed in a single region the Manager also serves as a proxy. This installation uses Docker and Docker-Machine facilitate the easy installation.
This set has a very simple pricing structure. No matter how large your database is, up to 16 TB, the price for the installation stays the same. This also includes Tech Support via email, chat or even by phone. We are happy to guide Subscribers through any issues they have.
The MongoDB Containers and servers are configured with best practices such as using an external volume which is formatted using XFS. If the MongoDb instances gets damaged the data should be protected on the separate EBS Volume that is not deleted on termination.
Yearly Price gives a free month.

Save Weeks of Work needed to install replicated MongoDB Databases in your own account.
Use up to the largest EBS of 16TB
Get Benefits of Replication like protection from catastrophic events and the ability to do read intensive work on a server separate from the Primary Writable instance
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Try this product free for 5 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you launch. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, from small burstable types like t2.nano and t2.micro up to large memory, compute, storage, and GPU types like x1.32xlarge and p2.16xlarge. The software cost stays the same regardless of instance choice; the hourly rate reflects the underlying compute size you select. This deployment runs a multi-region MongoDB Swarm, so your total cost depends on how many instances you run and their sizes across regions.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover — the whole MongoDB Swarm or a single instance?
Each hourly unit meters one running EC2 instance of the type you launch. The deployment uses a Swarm Manager plus MongoDB instances across regions. You pay the hourly rate for each running instance separately, so your bill reflects every instance you keep active.
Am I charged for instances that are stopped or powered off?
The software rate meters running instance-hours. Fully powered-off instances stop accruing hourly software charges. Your data remains on separate EBS volumes that are not deleted on termination, so underlying AWS storage fees may still apply even when instances are stopped.
Does my database size change the price as data grows?
No. The software price does not scale with database size, up to 16 TB. Your cost depends on which instance types you run and how many hours they stay active across regions, not on how much data you store.

Creates EBS volumes with tags to make sure that they connect to similary tagged ec2. The Ec2 gets MOngoDB inside docker containers and mounts the EBS volume that is formatted with XFS upon mount.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Acccess via CLI.
You need to have mongo client installed on the computer that you use to access your Replicated MongoDB from Charming or to use your API driver.
Each server has a different port opened to access the Database.
mongo mongodb://PublicDNS-Ofcharming0:27017/test
You can now start building your database. All changes are immediately written to the replicas.
Secondary Replicas can be accessed from a CLI as follows:
mongo mongodb://PublicDNS-charming1:27018/test
mongo mongodb://PublicDNS-charming2:27019/test
In the above command, “test” is the DB name. The remote connection URL below has the DB name test at the end. Use a different db name to connect to one that you created.
From the Mongo Shell you can see installed DB's type”show dbs”
From here you can build, develop and learn, See further instructions at: http://float.i.ng/replicated-mongodb-installation-instructions/
