    Overview

This is the official Kubernetes operator for deploying and managing the New Relic Kubernetes integration. The New Relic Kubernetes integration gives you visibility into your Kubernetes clusters and workloads in minutes, whether your clusters are hosted on-premises or in the cloud.

    Highlights

    • You can build your own charts and query all your Kubernetes data, which our integration collects by instrumenting the container orchestration layer. This gives you additional insight into nodes, namespaces, deployments, replica sets, pods, and containers.
    • Link your APM data to Kubernetes to measure the performance of your web and mobile applications, with metrics such as request rate, throughput, error rate, and availability.
    • Monitor services running on Kubernetes, such as Apache, NGINX, Cassandra, and many more.

    • Amazon EKS
    EKS add-on

An add-on is software that provides supporting operational capabilities to Kubernetes applications but isn't specific to the application. This includes software like observability agents or Kubernetes drivers that allow the cluster to interact with underlying AWS resources for networking, compute, and storage. Add-on software is typically built and maintained by the Kubernetes community, cloud providers like AWS, or third-party vendors. Amazon EKS add-ons provide installation and management of a curated set of add-ons for Amazon EKS clusters. All Amazon EKS add-ons include the latest security patches and bug fixes, and are validated by AWS to work with Amazon EKS. Amazon EKS add-ons allow you to consistently ensure that your Amazon EKS clusters are secure and stable and reduce the amount of work that you need to do to install, configure, and update add-ons.

Comprehensive Observability with Powerful Insights, but Requires Planning and Expertise

    Reviewed on Oct 13, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Real-time monitoring and alerting have been instrumental in allowing us to quickly detect and address issues before they affect our users. The detailed insights into application performance, especially the option to drill down into specific transactions and traces, are incredibly useful. Additionally, the customizable dashboards and smooth integrations with other tools, along with the flexibility to design personalized views, contribute greatly to its versatility.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup can be quite complex, as configuring agents and integrations often takes considerable time, especially for those new to the platform. The pricing model is another concern, since costs may rise rapidly as data ingestion increases, which makes it difficult to predict expenses. Additionally, there is a notable learning curve for advanced features, with some functionalities demanding substantial time and expertise to utilize effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic has been instrumental in helping us tackle performance visibility and reliability issues throughout our applications and infrastructure. With its real-time monitoring, comprehensive transaction tracing, and proactive alerting, we have been able to significantly decrease our mean time to resolution (MTTR). As a result, our system uptime has improved, the user experience has been enhanced, and our teams are now better equipped to make informed, data-driven decisions regarding capacity planning and optimization.

    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
    Unified, Full-Stack Observability
Users really appreciate having metrics, traces, logs, error monitoring, front-end & back-end all in one place. They highlight that it gives visibility across the whole stack so you can trace issues end-to-end without stitching multiple tools together.
What do you dislike about the product?
Users frequently complain that costs escalate quickly, especially as usage (data ingestion, retainment, etc.) increases
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic helps us monitor the health and performance of our entire application stack in real time. It brings together metrics, logs, and traces from multiple services into one unified view, allowing us to quickly detect bottlenecks, pinpoint root causes, and resolve issues before they impact users. This has significantly improved our incident response times, reduced downtime, and given our team better visibility into both application and infrastructure performance. Overall, it helps us maintain higher reliability and deliver a smoother user experience.
