Email Verification API checks whether an email address is real and deliverable before you send to it. One REST call returns syntax validity, domain and MX records, mailbox existence where it can be established, and flags for disposable and role based addresses.
Use it at signup to keep bad addresses out of your database, or in bulk to clean an existing list before a campaign. Results come back as structured JSON with a clear verdict and the supporting checks.
Billing is usage based. You are charged per address verified, with no minimum commitment and no monthly platform fee. Access is authenticated with an API key issued to you when you subscribe.
Highlights
Syntax, domain, MX and mailbox checks in one call, returned as structured JSON
Flags disposable and role based addresses so you can filter signups at the source
Usage based pricing per address verified, with no minimum commitment
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay based on usage, with one pricing dimension: each email address submitted for verification counts as one unit. There are no tiers or fixed commitments. Your cost scales directly with the number of email addresses you verify. You can submit addresses one at a time or in batches of up to 100 per request, but each address still counts as a single billed unit.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one verified email address for billing?
Each email address you submit for verification counts as one unit. The check covers syntax, an MX lookup, a disposable-domain test, and a role-based address check. Every address is billed as a single unit, whether it passes or fails validation.
Does submitting emails in a batch change how I am billed?
No. You can validate a single email or send up to 100 addresses in one batch request. Batching runs the checks in parallel for speed, but each address in the batch still counts as one billed unit. Your cost tracks the total addresses submitted.
Am I charged for checking my own usage totals?
The usage endpoint reports how many verifications your API key has run. Only email address submissions to the validation endpoints count as billed units. Checking your usage total is a separate read operation and is not itself a verification unit.
