Try this product free for 7 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the software, billed per running instance. All pricing dimensions are arm64 (aarch64) EC2 instance types, so your rate depends only on which instance you choose to run. The software rate stays the same across instance families; the differences reflect the compute size and capacity you select. Options span small general-purpose sizes through large memory, compute, and storage-optimized types up to bare-metal instances. AWS charges for EC2 and other AWS usage separately. Technical support is not included in this hourly rate and must be arranged separately if needed.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged the software rate when my EC2 instance is stopped?
The software rate meters running instance-hours. When the instance is fully stopped, the hourly software charge does not accrue. Note that AWS may still bill separately for underlying storage and other AWS resources tied to the stopped instance.
What does the hourly charge cover, and what costs are separate?
The hourly charge covers the software license only. It bundles Movable Type preinstalled on the machine image. AWS bills EC2 compute and other AWS usage separately. Technical support is not part of the hourly rate and must be arranged on its own if needed.
Does the software rate change if I pick a bigger instance size?
The software license rate is the same across instance families and sizes. What changes is the AWS compute cost for the instance you run. Choosing a larger arm64 type raises AWS charges, not the Movable Type software charge itself.
