    What is our primary use case?

    My current use case for Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup  is emergency recovery. I use it very rarely for emergency recovery purposes.

    What is most valuable?

    I appreciate that Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup  saves everything for us, and it's secure and write-once, which means the data cannot be corrupted.

    The unlimited storage function of Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup is useful for my needs.

    Since the actual backup cannot be overwritten, there is security with Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup, ensuring that the data cannot be changed after it has been backed up.

    Based on my experience, Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup's support for compliance and regulatory requirements in my company is valuable.

    What needs improvement?

    I find the granular recovery options process in Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup really difficult. This is one area they need to improve.

    I think new IT workers will struggle to recover data from Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup due to the user interface. The UI is not very good at all, and it is very difficult to locate what I am looking for quickly.

    When I am looking for a piece of student work that has gone missing in Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup, I currently have to completely restart the process if I selected the wrong date. The ability to change the date and carry on with the same selection would be much better than picking a date and then going through the entire process of finding the user and their folders. If I could simply change the date to the next day or the previous week, that would make the functionality significantly better from my perspective.

    For how long have I used the solution?

    I have been working with Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup for about five or six years.

    What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    I would rate the stability of Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup as a 10. I do not have any issues with it.

    What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

    For scalability and the ability to scale, I would also give it a 10.

    How are customer service and support?

    I have never had to use technical support for Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup, and I have never needed it. This speaks volumes about the product.

    How was the initial setup?

    I do not do any setup for Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup, as it is all done automatically. I do not have to change anything on it at all.

    What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

    I cannot even remember what I am paying for Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup. I just pay it because it is needed, so I have no idea whether it is a good price or not. I know it is a good product that does what I need it to do, and the price does not come into the equation, to be fair. Obviously, if it went up, it would become a factor, but I actually have no idea what I am paying for it at the moment. I would have to go into my records and find out.

    Which other solutions did I evaluate?

    If I compare Veeam and Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup, Barracuda is better for me. When we went to the cloud, Veeam was a lot more expensive than Barracuda. I think it is nearly twice the price.

    What other advice do I have?

    I would recommend Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup to other users, and I have recommended it to other people as well. I gave this product a rating of 10.

    What do you like best about the product?
    What i like is its simple setup and reliable automated backups that runs without manual effort. Its also strong and easy restore option and making cloud cloud protection.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    What i dislike about barracuda cloud to cloud backup is that the interface can feel slow and not very intuitive making restores and file searches a bit time consuming.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Barracuda cloud to cloud backup solves the problem of data loss in microsoft 365 from accidental deletion ransomware or retention limit by providing a secure external backup with easy restore option.

    Easy of connecting to my Microsoft 365 environment and the simply to use interface

    I would like to see more detailed logging and be able to see the progress of backups and restores while they are taking place
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    It performs the scheduled nightly backing up of my Microsoft 365 data so that I do not have to spend my time or my team's time manually performing those backups. This frees us up to focus on other areas of the IT environment

    What is our primary use case?

    Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup  was previously named Email Protection and this edition is called Essentials. Currently, it is called Barracuda Email Gateway Defense, which they have configured as an edition-wise selling product. We are requiring majorly Barracuda Email Gateway Defense with cloud-to-cloud backup or for impersonation protection purposes or awareness training purposes.

    Cloud Archiver  or Sentinel  can be utilized for impersonation protections.

    What is most valuable?

    We are a master distributor for whole pan-India.

    The advantages can be attributed to DCDR purposes and the current data protection act. Globally, any country, right now even the Indian government, is approaching the data protection act where data must be stored in an Indian tenant. If any incident happens from a Microsoft outage, or account takeover or anything, a customer has a secondary copy separately, which is not connected by Microsoft. It is only a replication copy stored in an incremental backup. If once-in-a-while data from a higher authority department is lost, it can be restored anytime with this independent dependency without any Microsoft account access. Data can be restored from one user to an individual as an original user to another user.

    Encryption is part of that. Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup  has committed to 256-bit encryption. Data-at-rest encryption is ensured once data is stored in Barracuda Cloud tenant, as it is already encrypted from back-end independent technologies or parameters. Once the account is logged in via multi-factor authentication from the IT admin, it will depend on who has role-based access in the company organization team or IT team. This depends on them for the restoration of the data or data access permission, and how they can manage the data processing of these tenant consoles. On the user side, there is no intervention. Users cannot access their data. They are compulsorily dependent on IT independent admins who can access this data if, under any circumstances, data is lost.

    What needs improvement?

    The price may be higher as per the competition from local market brands like Acronis or Veeam. This may depend on SKU lines and what the customer chooses, along with the number of line items to take the backup. Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup gives totally unlimited all parameters for OneDrive, SharePoint , email, and Teams. It partially depends on the customer thinking about this process. The price may be slightly higher or as per the Indian government pricing. It is slightly higher because the Indian market is price-sensitive first. If any local, made-in-India brands are implemented so that their only data center is in India, that is not compatible with all these global standard companies regarding the architecture and deployment, or other security parameters about that.

    What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    There is nothing to report. There may be global downtime for maintenance purposes. Globally, some services want to be restarted or there may be a migration at the back-end as per the infrastructure dependency. Maybe once in a while, locally, there may be a 0.1% outage, but it is not affecting the customer as an application service.

    What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

    It is part of unlimited because Microsoft gives the storage for the E1 plan from the E1 user, from general SME companies, which is approximately one to two TB of data or five TB of data. Accordingly, their back-end implemented this data deduplication and compression from the back-end engine parameters. The customer, without any capping on data storage calculation for the licensing part from the management perspective, can convince the management about the financial condition, which is very easy.

    How are customer service and support?

    The interface is user-friendly console access which is very accessible such that an L1 engineer or any non-technical person can manage this console regarding the parameter of how this data should be backed up daily. Users get the notification of how data can be restored. Reports about the daily backup completion or restoration can be obtained. Notifications are sent over email. Without any IT engineers, a customer IT team can manage that. There is no complexity for this manageability purpose.

    Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

    Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup is not comparable to CloudGen Firewall because the customer's requirement is not fulfilled as of now as a UTM parameter or UTM trend, which was WatchGuard or other brands. CloudGen is for very multinational companies, which totally agreed about this parameter implementation about SD-WAN and everything. If it globally fulfills the requirement, then we can approach it.

    How was the initial setup?

    Installation is very easy and not complex.

    What about the implementation team?

    Granular recovery is an option, but the IT admin must perform these two activities.

    What was our ROI?

    Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup support is 10 out of 10. Once a customer buys any product, they can instantly get support from the Barracuda product serial number with this local team. We have locally in Made in India, Bangalore, but it is a global American team that will, within half an hour, get instant support. This includes initial support for how to run the setup, initiate the setup for the configuration, setup, auditing, or anything.

    What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

    Microsoft Planner was declared by the Microsoft E1 plan. Accordingly, Microsoft Planner automatically integrates with Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup and even Entra ID.

    Which other solutions did I evaluate?

    The product rating is 10 out of nine or 10 out of eight. That is fine. Eighty percent of the time, once any customer closes the implementation and buys the license, they have no complaints about the product being very complex from the product support side.

    What other advice do I have?

    We have been using this product for more than 12 to 13 years.

    Majorly, issues arise due to an outage or unethical data deletion by users as an end-user or human error. If there is a Microsoft outage, the customer does not have any plan. Even if a customer is using a basic plan, like E1, which has only a retention period where once data is deleted from the IT guys or anyone, it only has a 90-day retention period. Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup gives an unlimited retention policy for the backup for all the parameters. That is the first point. The drill-down on the parameters, if customers do not plan for any endpoint backup for the separate user implementation, that is why it is very easy for deployment for any end-users who are coming from, right now after working from home due to COVID-19. The main purpose of this OneDrive data from the customer perspective is all the data should be stored on a OneDrive tenant. They do not have any dependency on the OneDrive data for individual computers and users, whether they were connected online or not.

    Improvement, right now, as per the Microsoft inventions about the technologies, accordingly Microsoft and Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup are both integrated with each other. Accordingly, once Microsoft gets any advantages for the backup or any IT circumstance modules, they can integrate accordingly. The overall review rating for this product is 9 out of 10.
