You pay by the hour for the software running on your chosen Amazon EC2 instance type. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance size, so pricing scales with the compute power you select. Smaller instances like large or xlarge sizes cost less per hour, while metal and multi-xlarge sizes carry higher hourly rates. There are no tiers or plans to commit to. You start and stop the stack anytime, and billing stops when you stop the instance. AWS hosting charges are billed separately from this software fee.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit include beyond the EC2 instance itself?
Each hourly rate covers the packaged Laravel deployment stack running on your chosen instance. This includes the pre-configured software stack and the A51 Monitoring & Control dashboard. The dashboard lets you schedule power cycles, manage backups, and monitor instances. AWS hosting charges for the underlying instance are billed separately.
Am I charged when I stop the stack or power off the instance?
No. Billing follows a pay-as-you-go model per hour of use. When you stop the stack, software charges stop. You may still incur separate AWS charges for services you keep subscribed to, such as storage. You can start and stop anytime.
Can I pick any EC2 instance type, or only those listed?
Only the instance classes shown in the pricing table are available for deployment. If you need a class not listed, you can contact the vendor to see what options are available. After deployment, database instance classes can be changed more freely.
