Try this product free for 14 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance size you run. All 22 options bill the same way; only the underlying compute size differs. The t2, t3, and t3a families cover general-purpose burstable instances, while the m3 and m4 families cover general-purpose instances with steadier performance. Within each family, sizes scale from medium up to 16xlarge, so larger instances carry more compute capacity and a higher hourly rate. Choose the instance size that matches your workload. The software runs Appsmith, secured and supported by Hossted, across every option.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged the hourly rate when my EC2 instance is stopped or paused?
The software meters running instance-hours. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You may still owe underlying AWS storage fees for the volume while the instance is stopped, but the software license bills only the time the instance runs.
What does one billing hour cover, and what do I get for each instance size?
One billing hour equals one hour of running the chosen EC2 instance. Each size maps to a fixed AWS compute spec. Larger sizes (up to 16xlarge) carry more CPU and memory. The software, Appsmith secured and supported by Hossted, runs the same on every size.
What support is included with the hourly software charge?
Hossted offers support for open-source applications, including troubleshooting, usage guidance, and version migration help. Support plans are sold separately in tiers with differing response times and availability. The hourly software charge covers running the instance; contact the vendor to confirm which support plan applies.
