CUBRID is a relational DBMS optimized for online transaction processing (OLTP) that complies with ANSI SQL standards and provides MVCC support, High-Availability (HA) capabilities, and GUI-based tools for DB management/migration. It also provides Oracle/MySQL compatibility and supports a variety of interfaces, including JDBC. CUBRID consists of a 3-tier structure of applications/interfaces, brokers, and servers, and the flexibility to build systems is ideal for data-intensive online transaction processing (OLTP) services. CUBRID provides the HA (High-Availability) feature to enable OLTP services to be highly available and to balance traffics efficiently; 24 hours x 365 days of non-stop service can be implemented through server redundancy.

This listing is offered free of software charges. You pay only for the AWS EC2 infrastructure you run it on. Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type, billed hourly. Your cost scales with the instance you choose. Smaller instances like t2.micro carry lower hourly rates. Large memory, compute, GPU, and storage-optimized instances carry higher rates. You match the instance type to your workload's memory, CPU, and storage needs. Since the software is open source, no license fee applies. Support services are handled separately by the vendor and are not billed through these dimensions.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for each hourly dimension I select?
Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance type. The hourly rate covers running that specific instance with the database software preinstalled. Memory, CPU, storage, and GPU capacity vary by the instance you pick. You choose the type that matches your workload's resource needs.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or powered off?
Hourly charges apply only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue hourly software charges. Underlying AWS storage fees may still apply to attached volumes, but the hourly metering here counts running time only.
Does the free software price include vendor technical support?
No. The software itself is open source, so no license fee applies. Technical support is handled separately by the vendor through annual service contracts, including maintenance and development support. These are not billed through the AWS Marketplace hourly dimensions.
