    What is our primary use case?

    My main use case for Alida  revolves around market research, where my team primarily uses it to determine how to price programs, projects, and features in various products, both physical and digital. I leverage it to get users to test experiences and assess their satisfaction with our app's direction, strategy, and design iterations.

    A specific project where I used Alida  for user testing involved the redesign of the Digital Spy website, which at that time attracted around 8 million visitors a month and covered topics such as entertainment and gaming. I used Alida to get users to test the current site experience and evaluate the redesigned elements through a screener survey, which facilitated interviews with selected users.

    What is most valuable?

    My overall experience with Alida has revolved mostly around its effective screener and detailed capabilities, which I utilized extensively despite not setting up the entire screener process myself. I communicated with the Alida team to gain a better understanding of the platform, and I encountered some challenges with the UI that I found to be clunky compared to other platforms I was accustomed to using for research.

    Alida offers numerous features, and while I recall they were also improving the platform, the service and screener capabilities significantly stood out to me. In particular, I appreciated how I can set conditions based on users' answers, allowing me to tailor questions to their profiles, which I found effective compared to what I had experienced with tools such as Google Forms.

    The ability to export survey data was very helpful, as I was able to use the exported files in Google Sheets, particularly at Hearst UK, where I was working on various brands including Cosmopolitan and Good Housekeeping. This export functionality allowed us to verify genuine survey responses, although I did find the setup for interviews to be somewhat clunky and confusing.

    Alida has positively impacted my organization by facilitating market research at Hearst UK, enabling the creation of reports that gather valuable insights about pricing and new experiences, which directly contributes to strategic planning that aligns with user enjoyment and profitability. While I cannot provide specific metrics, I can assure you that Alida greatly enhances user experience and saves time. Having everything consolidated in a single platform reduces the need to learn various tools, as evidenced by successful market research initiatives that drove sold-out events.

    What needs improvement?

    I believe Alida requires a full redesign to better organize the information architecture. It is essential for me to operate a platform that is easy for designers and non-designers alike, and I envision enhancements in navigation and onboarding features that intuitively guide users through their specific research projects.

    When it comes to improvements, the emphasis should be on the reporting capabilities and synthesizing information efficiently for stakeholders while ensuring user consent is managed appropriately. Making it easy for users to understand and share reports without requiring extensive platform access would be beneficial.

    Although Alida appears to be stable for scalability, the clunky UI detracts from its effectiveness. I opted to use Alida due to existing organizational structures and consented user pools rather than switching to potentially better platforms that I had previously considered.

    For how long have I used the solution?

    I have been using Alida for around a year and a couple of months, specifically since a change in my current role about eight months ago. Previously, I utilized it in my prior role with the marketing and market research team under marketing.

    How are customer service and support?

    My experience with Alida's customer support was satisfactory.

    What other advice do I have?

    My advice for anyone considering Alida is to find someone who can walk you through its functionalities, as I benefited from having a team knowledgeable in the platform, which significantly alleviated the stress of learning it on my own.

    I view Alida as a powerful platform packed with features, but the clunky UI poses significant usability challenges, necessitating support for effective navigation. I would rate this product a 7 out of 10.

    What do you like best about the product?
    I like the capability of the unique links that tie back to community members, so we can identify long-term engagement opportunities. The feature for managing community profiles was a significant attraction for using Alida.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    I think the UI could be a little bit more intuitive. The onboarding to use the platform could be more intuitive as well. I'd also like a program and best practices to help achieve our unique goals as a company. It wasn't that easy to set up initially, and using Alida's resources for survey programming felt more involved than it should be. Programming my own survey was a lot easier.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    I use Alida as a survey platform to create research insights. I like its capability to create unique links, which help identify long-term member engagement opportunities. Alida's community profile management was also an attractive feature for us.

    What do you like best about the product?
    I like that I can easily build a survey on Alida by utilizing all different functions, and I can instantly pull up a visualized report for a survey, and I really appreciate the AI features for analyzing the open-ended questions.
    I also like that Alida provides amazing customer service to help with us conducting professional surveys.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    I dislike that it allows edits after publishing a survey, and that it doesn’t let you undo actions. I also wish some functions were more straightforward, because the learning curve with Alida takes time. For example, it would be helpful if closing surveys could be done directly from the activity view with a single button.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Alida is helping me to understand our customer insights, such as customers' opinions on our loyalty programs, book covers, and marketing methods, to support us with better decision makings.

    What do you like best about the product?
    I use Alida for managing our community panel and administering surveys, and I like the ability to stay connected and the ease of use of the tool. Alida allows us to interact with our audience in meaningful ways and handles the survey programming for our projects. It also offers the opportunity to have quick turnaround reporting on customer perceptions. The ease of use allows for speedy development of projects for these needs.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    I haven't had an immense amount of exposure to the project, so I have not yet discovered anything that doesn't work well.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

    What is our primary use case?

    My team is using Alida  for customer interviews in order to collect feedback and quickly analyze the outcomes and get insights from them.

    We start calling the customer, asking them the standardized questions that are suggested by Alida , and we then collect the feedback integrated with Bedrock and use generative AI in order to get insights from them.

    What is most valuable?

    Probably the best features Alida offers are the possibility to calculate, to analyze feedback, and calculate insights.

    The possibility to create an automatically dashboard stands out to me when I mention analyzing feedback and calculating insights.

    Alida is well integrated with the AWS  ecosystem, in particular with Bedrock, which makes it easier to use.

    Alida has impacted my organization positively so far; it is really easy to conduct interviews and it allows us to save a lot of time.

    I think we can save more than 50% of time for each interview using Alida.

    What needs improvement?

    I have no information so far on how Alida can be improved because we have been using it as early adopters.

    I would appreciate it if it were even easier to define questions that can be provided to the customers.
