Each unit maps to a pod with 2 vCPU and 4 GB of memory. If a pod exceeds that size, the count rounds up based on either vCPU divided by 2 or memory divided by 4 GB, whichever is higher. Your cost scales with the number of units you deploy.

Billing is usage-based and meters running time. You pay hourly for units that are active. Units that are not running do not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS infrastructure costs, such as storage, may still apply separately while resources exist but sit idle.
Each unit maps to a pod with 2 vCPU and 4 GB of memory. If a pod exceeds this, the count rounds up. It divides vCPU by 2 or memory by 4 GB, then uses whichever result is higher. A vCPU is a virtual CPU core.
The Standard Edition supports transaction processing across databases, non-transactional storage operations, authentication and authorization, and a SQL interface. It runs as middleware that unifies diverse databases without migrating them. It does not persist data itself, so performance scales with the units you deploy.
