Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment. Pricing depends entirely on the Amazon EC2 ARM instance type you select. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size across families built for general purpose, compute, memory, storage, and high-performance workloads. As you move from smaller sizes like medium and large up to metal and multi-xlarge configurations, the hourly rate rises with the added compute and memory. You choose the instance that fits your workload and scale by launching or stopping instances as needed. All images are hardened to secure configuration standards.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The hourly rate covers the hardened software license for the instance type you launch. It does not include the Amazon EC2 compute charge, which AWS bills separately. Both appear on your AWS invoice. Each running instance is metered per hour based on its size and family.
Software charges apply only while an instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance stops accruing the hourly software fee. You may still owe AWS storage fees for attached volumes. To halt software billing, stop or terminate the instance.
There is no tier upgrade. Each instance type is billed at its own hourly rate. To change size, you launch a new instance of the type you want and stop the old one. Your rate reflects whichever instance types are currently running.
