Prices scale with instance size, from small shared-CPU types up to bare-metal and many-vCPU sizes across general-purpose, compute, memory, storage, GPU, and HPC families. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates because they provide more compute, memory, or specialized hardware. You choose the instance type that fits your workload, and the software charge applies on top of your standard AWS infrastructure cost for that instance.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You pay the software rate for each hour a chosen aarch64 EC2 instance runs. Charges meter running time only. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the software fee, though AWS may still bill underlying storage. Each running instance is metered separately by its instance type.
The subscription bundles Long-Term Support with up to four years of security patching, FIPS 140-3 validated packages, direct bug fixes, committed CVE response timelines, and indemnification. Enterprise Linux binary compatibility is included. This runs on top of your standard AWS instance cost.
Each running instance bills independently at the hourly rate for its own instance type. If you launch multiple types across general-purpose, compute, memory, storage, GPU, or HPC families, their charges add together. Larger sizes carry higher hourly rates because they provide more compute, memory, or specialized hardware.

Usage instructions
Connect to the instance over SSH using the instance public IP, with username "rocky" and the private key generated when you launched the instance. Example command: $ ssh -i ./ssh-private-key.pem rocky@PublicIPAddress When you are logged in as "rocky", you can use the sudo command to run administrative tasks. Note that the specific command you use to connect to the instance may vary depending on the operating system and ssh client you are using on your end. By default, the instance is secured by AWS network security configuration; you may optionally install your choice of a local firewall such as firewalld after launch.
