Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract combines two charges billed through private offers. The Platform Fee covers your access to the commerce platform. The Recurring Monthly Fee is billed each month for the length of your term. Both amounts are set individually through a private offer rather than listed publicly, so pricing is negotiated to match your operation. Together they form one agreement: a platform charge plus an ongoing monthly charge. Contact the vendor to receive the private offer that sets your specific figures.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the Platform Fee cover compared with the Recurring Monthly Fee?
The Platform Fee covers your access to the commerce platform itself. The Recurring Monthly Fee is the ongoing charge billed each month across your term. They are separate charges that bill together under one agreement. Both amounts are set through a private offer tailored to your operation.
Which capabilities are included in the platform I am paying for?
The platform supports B2C, B2B, marketplace, and omnichannel commerce. You get catalog, pricing, promotions, checkout, order management, and a headless CMS. It includes multi-language and multi-currency features for global selling. The charges cover access to these features; they are not metered separately.
How do the two charges combine on my bill?
Both charges apply at the same time under a single contract. The Platform Fee and the Recurring Monthly Fee each bill through a private offer. The monthly fee repeats every month for your term length, while the platform fee reflects your platform access. Your specific figures come from the vendor's private offer.

Headless commerce flexibility has enabled me to build custom front ends and integrate third party APIs
Reviewed on Jun 23, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer
What is our primary use case?
As a developer using VTEX Commerce Platform, my main use case is building the front end application, adding features, and making changes to the UI. I also integrate internal VTEX modules in Node.js services or write custom APIs and back end APIs in Node.js apps in VTEX IO.
The most prominent use case is adding a new page or modifying the PDP page of the application. I have used VTEX FastStore, which is a front end solution where I can use Next.js, React.js, and other front end technologies to modify the application. I connected it with the GitHub repo, added new components, and integrated it with their official CMS for content management.
Another specific aspect is their proprietary database called Master Data, where they centralize all customer data in one hub and expose it via API and UI. Integrating with their Master Data, connecting with it, and working with it is also one of my use cases.
What is most valuable?
VTEX Commerce Platform stands out as a headless commerce platform that offers customizability and flexibility to add our own features. If I do not want their OMS platform or if I want to integrate any external OMS, third party APIs, or third party tools, it is easy for me to write my own API logic in their app, publish it, and communicate with it. This gives more flexibility.
The tech stack they use is the MERN stack, which I am most comfortable with. This flexibility has helped me communicate with third party tools. When I wanted to add my own API and write custom API logic to communicate with external providers, this flexibility enabled me to easily write my own Node.js app in VTEX IO, publish that app to my VTEX account, and call that app from the front end application directly.
Another feature is their own CMS, which I appreciate. They also give us the flexibility to integrate with other CMS solutions like the open source CMS Strapi. The CMS capabilities, the headless approach, and the flexibility to add new apps according to our needs are all valuable features.
What needs improvement?
Their documentation is comprehensive, but I noticed that the Commerce Academy course content was outdated and not enough for me to clear the certificate. However, their documentation and GitHub code samples were more comprehensive and helpful in understanding and upskilling in VTEX.
What stood out is the flexibility and the MERN stack tech stack that VTEX uses. This is why I gave it an eight. I did not give it a ten because during development, there were some performance issues with load times, and the Commerce Academy platform content and video content is not up to date. I had to refer to the documentation every time for the latest content.
Regarding VTEX Commerce Platform's AI capabilities, they have AI integrated in their admin interface where I can ask questions related to their settings. However, I do not find that useful because it was not working properly at times, it was not giving responses, or it was throwing errors. This made me stop using that AI. The AI integration is not capable enough or is not fully integrated and needs improvement.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have not completely integrated VTEX Commerce Platform into one of our clients yet, but we are in the process. Currently, my company is partnered with VTEX to learn more about the platform, and as part of that program, I was nominated and involved in learning. I have almost completed all of their certifications, four out of five, and we are about to migrate one of our existing commerce clients to use VTEX Commerce Platform.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
When it works, the accuracy and reliability are acceptable if I ask questions about the settings or about things. However, even when it works, I do not find the responses helpful.
What other advice do I have?
If you are familiar with the MERN stack technology and you want a commerce platform that provides customizability and the ability to add new features to your platform, then VTEX Commerce Platform is a good choice. It does require some time to go through documentation and experiment, but their documentation is comprehensive. They have their own developer portals and tutorials that help understand and experiment with features. Before choosing it, you can also have their sponsor account or test account and try out those features and then directly build the application there. I gave this review a rating of eight.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Private Cloud
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Power enterprise and headless architecture for complex and scalable ecommerce
Reviewed on May 04, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about VTEX Commerce Platform is its power and enterprise focus for managing complex and scalable ecommerce.
From a professional agency perspective, its architecture (headless and API-first) stands out, allowing for the construction of highly customized solutions tailored to advanced business needs. This is key in projects with multiple countries, large catalogs, or models like B2B, marketplaces, or omnichannel strategies.
It is a very solid platform ready to scale, especially suitable for ecommerce with a certain complexity and ambition for growth.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like least about VTEX Commerce Platform is its complexity and the learning curve involved in starting to work with it.
From an agency perspective, it is not a particularly "friendly" platform for non-technical teams: many tasks require specific knowledge of the VTEX ecosystem (architecture, APIs, IO, etc.), which makes the dependency on specialized profiles high and the implementation or adjustment times not always agile.
It is a very powerful solution, but it demands a high level of technical skill and specialization, which can be a barrier in projects seeking agility or more autonomous teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
VTEX solves the management of complex ecommerce (multi-country, marketplaces, B2B, omnichannel) in a single platform, avoiding the need to rely on multiple tools and integrations.
From my role in an agency, this benefits me because I work on a more stable and scalable base, with greater consistency in data and in the funnel. It facilitates the implementation of more advanced marketing and measurement strategies, especially in large projects, although it requires a higher technical level to make the most of it.

Daily operations have become streamlined as I manage multiple stores and catalogs from one place
Reviewed on Feb 12, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for VTEX Commerce Platform is for e-commerce every day. I use VTEX Commerce Platform for everything in my daily work, from catalog management to managing different stores.
What is most valuable?
The best features VTEX Commerce Platform offers for me are its versatility, the way it adapts and integrates with multiple platforms, and the ability to build different adaptive flows on top of it for all business models.
I particularly appreciate how we manage the catalog, its versatility to adapt to different business models, and its possibilities for configuring logistics models in VTEX Commerce Platform.
VTEX Commerce Platform has positively impacted my organization by making my work easier and having a positive impact overall. It has helped my business by increasing sales and making management easier.
What needs improvement?
I do not find it easy to manage all my stores and products from one place in VTEX Commerce Platform, as the dashboards are somewhat sparse in analytical information despite making it easy to manage all the stores from one place.
I would appreciate improvements to the checkout and the B2B functionalities in VTEX Commerce Platform. For example, I would improve the checkout by allowing multiple selection of carriers since split order has limitations.
Organizations could communicate better with master data within VTEX Commerce Platform. I would also appreciate better automation of the information and the onboarding of customers between leads and real customers in my organization.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using VTEX Commerce Platform for six years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
VTEX Commerce Platform is mostly stable and works without problems.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
VTEX Commerce Platform's scalability is good, as it can grow with my business and handle more users or sales easily.
How are customer service and support?
The customer support for VTEX Commerce Platform is helpful when I have a problem, and I find them effective. I would rate the customer support for VTEX Commerce Platform a ten.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment with VTEX Commerce Platform in sales. Sales have increased, and I have seen an increase in percentage terms using VTEX Commerce Platform, although I do not have that data.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for VTEX Commerce Platform has been easy, and I encountered no problems.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for others looking into using VTEX Commerce Platform is to study the configuration and refer to the documentation.
