DataJoint is the Scientific Data Foundation for accelerated life sciences R&D. It codifies experiments as computational pipelines: teams define data models, automate analysis, and capture complete provenance; so results are reproducible by construction and reusable by default.
DataJoint is the Scientific Data Foundation for accelerated life sciences R&D. It codifies experiments as computational pipelines: data models, dependencies, analysis, and results defined together in one governed system. The pipeline is the lineage. Every result carries a complete record of how it was produced.
DataJoint is deterministic by design. Same inputs and code, same result, every time. That is what makes results defensible in regulated environments, and it is the precondition for AI to deliver in R&D. Science built on DataJoint compounds instead of disappearing: pipelines, models, and results stay reusable across teams, programs, and years.
The platform deploys in your own environment: your VPC, your cloud, hybrid, or on premises for restricted programs. Your data and infrastructure stay where your science runs. Every engagement includes hands-on support from DataJoint's SciOps team through Design, Build, and Launch phases, scoped to your program during discovery. Pricing is scoped to your program through a private offer.
Proven across a decade of the most demanding research computing, DataJoint now powers scientific data operations for pharma and life sciences organizations running high-volume experimental, analytical, and machine learning workloads.

Highlights
Codify experiments as computational pipelines: schema-based data models, dependency tracking, automated computation, and complete provenance in one governed system.
Deterministic by design: same inputs and code, same result, every time. Reproducible by construction. Reusable by default.
Deploys in your environment, with hands-on Scientific Operations Consulting support that moves teams from ad hoc scripts to governed, scalable scientific data operations.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
DataJoint offers one pricing dimension: an annual platform subscription billed as a contract. You commit for a 12-month term and pay upfront for the platform. This single option covers the computational database that codifies your experiments, pipelines, and results, and it deploys in your own cloud, hybrid, or on-premises environment. Because there is one dimension, pricing does not split into separate tiers or usage add-ons on the Marketplace. Engagement scope, services, and support are defined with the vendor after a discovery call, so the subscription aligns to the size of your program.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the annual platform subscription unit cover, and what is billed separately?
One unit is a 12-month platform subscription for the computational database. It covers the software foundation that codifies experiments, pipelines, and results. Deployment, integration, and hands-on work from the SciOps team are delivered as services, scoped to your program size and defined with the vendor after a discovery call.
Is this pay-as-you-go, or do I commit upfront for a fixed term?
You commit upfront for a 12-month term and pay for the platform subscription as a contract. There is no per-hour or usage-based metering on the Marketplace. The subscription runs for the full year regardless of how many pipelines you run or how much data you process.
Does my subscription cost change as I add pipelines, sites, or data volume during the term?
The Marketplace lists one flat annual subscription with no usage tiers or add-ons, so adding pipelines or data does not trigger automatic overage charges within the term. Scope is agreed with the vendor and aligned to your program size, so larger programs are priced accordingly during scoping.
