AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS instance size you run. Eight compute options are available across three families. The t2 line offers medium, large, and xlarge sizes. The t3 line offers the same three sizes. The m5 line offers large and xlarge sizes. Each larger size adds more compute and memory, and your hourly rate rises with it. There is no upfront commitment; you are billed for the hours you use. The vendor handles provisioning, monitoring, backups, updates, and security patches for the managed Odoo deployment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for the hourly rate on each instance size, like t3.large or m5.xlarge?
Each rate covers the managed Odoo software running on that AWS instance size. The instance family and size set the compute and memory: t2 and t3 offer medium, large, and xlarge burstable sizes; m5 offers large and xlarge general-purpose sizes. Larger sizes give more CPU and memory.
Am I charged the hourly software rate when my Odoo instance is stopped?
The software rate meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You are billed for the hours the instance runs. Underlying AWS resources like storage may still incur separate AWS fees while the instance is stopped.
What operational work does the hourly price cover beyond the compute itself?
The rate covers a managed deployment. The vendor handles provisioning, monitoring, daily backups, updates, and security patches. Deployments include firewall rules, TLS encryption, role-based access control, and pre-configured monitoring dashboards with alerting. This removes manual server setup and ongoing maintenance work from your team.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
