My main use case for ImageKit is for images and video rendering on my site. We use ImageKit as an intermediate version for images and video rendering because if I directly upload the videos on Shopify, then on the front end, it takes time to load.

We upload all our images and photos to ImageKit server and fetch them from their server.

ImageKit offers good quality images, real-time optimization which helps to improve website loading speed, and it automatically addresses image quality and format based on the browser and device. All of these features are most valuable in my workflow.

ImageKit has positively impacted my organization by improving website performance, reducing image loading time, and optimizing images. I have noticed specific metrics such as faster page load times. Previously, when I uploaded images on Shopify, they took time to load on the front end as compared to ImageKit, so we prefer ImageKit for video and images.

ImageKit can be improved because sometimes we face issues on the website where the video is not working properly or something unexpected happens. When we raise these issues to ImageKit, they resolve them, which is a very time-consuming process. ImageKit can improve by informing us what changes they have made in their system before making any changes.

I have been using ImageKit for the last one and a half years.

ImageKit is stable in my experience.

ImageKit can handle high load images and videos according to the customer's network, and it can manage images across different devices, browsers, and platforms.

I rate ImageKit an eight out of ten. I chose eight out of ten because sometimes ImageKit does not give the proper result or any issues happen, and then it takes time to resolve those issues. Regarding ImageKit's AI capabilities, I think they provide the best capabilities and security. The capabilities are great, and the accuracy and reliability of the output of the images are also good. On a scale of one to ten, my product rating is eight.

My main use case for ImageKit is optimizing many images on my website, making content load faster. I love it because it simplifies image processing, doing the heavy lifting on the CDN. I didn't need to upload media to ImageKit's servers, saving me significant time, especially with over 30,000 images. ImageKit handles that volume for me by allowing me to build a custom URL instead of uploading all of our media to their servers. All the storage has stayed on my own storage, and it optimizes it. It optimizes purely off the URL on the edge, which is fantastic. It does a lot of heavy lifting for optimizing images and makes the process much simpler. ImageKit has also been very helpful in my organization, especially because it saves me a significant amount of time with my large number of images, as it optimizes them efficiently without needing prior legwork. The setup was extremely easy as everything was done on their website with just creating a URL that mirrors my own, and ImageKit does all the work for me.

Since using ImageKit, I can share specific metrics about how much faster our pages load. Previously, when we were using another tool, the loading speed was around 60%, but now since we are using ImageKit, it is 85% and above.

The best features ImageKit offers include its scalability, as it is very scalable and can scale up to 30,000 images and beyond. It is also very easy to use, and I love the fast integrations, which are great.

When I say it is scalable and easy to use, it is much easier to use because it can be used by anyone as long as you go through the short learning curve and read everything online. It helps us manage media files effectively and also makes image optimization very easy, fast, simple, and flexible. I love the real-time image optimization and transformation features, which are extremely powerful. The CDN delivery ensures images load faster globally.

Regarding the features, ImageKit helps to remove a lot of complexity from managing media assets and performance optimization. I also want to highlight the intuitive UI, which makes it extremely easy to use for new users.

Regarding improvements, the only minor challenges I have encountered while using ImageKit include the built-in image editor, which feels a bit limited for precise adjustments, especially when I am trying to fine-tune small details or make subtle changes.

I have no real complaints so far; it has been good. However, the custom domain feature appears to be quite useful, and I have tried it with Amazon S3. It would be even better if there were more integrations available, such as with Cloudflare R2.

I have been using ImageKit for the past five years.

ImageKit's scalability has been very impressive. I can load around 30,000 images at a time, proving it to be very much scalable.

The customer support from ImageKit has been outstanding and very responsive, improving my user experience overall, which was a key reason we switched to ImageKit.

I would rate the customer support nine out of ten because my experience has been very positive with them, and they have not neglected my queries.

Before ImageKit, we were using Cloudinary, and the reason we switched is that we wanted a very scalable platform that would hold a lot of images and make our website load much faster while doing it in a secure manner. We also wanted a cost-effective platform with great support, overall a user-friendly platform that everybody can use without the help of technical support.

I have seen a return on investment. Before ImageKit, heavy images were slowing down our website quite badly. After integrating it, page speed improved considerably, and mobile users especially noticed the difference. I am happy because ImageKit helps me efficiently manage and deliver optimized images for our website, ensuring fast-loading pages for package artworks and other images. It also automatically optimizes and resizes images for different devices, which improves website performance and saves a lot of storage across multiple assets, enhancing the user experience and supporting better conversions.

In terms of pricing, setup cost, and licensing, I was not directly involved in the billing issues, but I find it manageable and fair.

Before choosing ImageKit, I evaluated other options, including Gumlet.

I would rate ImageKit ten out of ten. It has been a great platform for us.

I chose ten out of ten because our website loading time has noticeably improved after switching to ImageKit, and mobile performance, especially, became much smoother.

Regarding ImageKit's AI capabilities, it has been able to handle our data privacy well and protect our data, with no leakage and no trouble. Regarding ImageKit's AI capabilities, I find it has always been reliable and accurate in its output.

My advice for others looking into using ImageKit is to absolutely go for it. I recommend ImageKit because it has been a reliable image hosting solution with a fast CDN and extremely useful transformation features, along with unparalleled customer support, making it a very recommendable and cost-efficient platform. I rate ImageKit ten out of ten overall.

I use ImageKit for purposes similar to Cloudinary, including storage of images, CDN, and features where you can retouch, remove the background, and upscale an image.

When we upload products for e-commerce, the product images are rendered and stored in ImageKit, and they are rendered through CDN for faster optimization and delivery of the images. Since many products usually take a large chunk of bandwidth, the images are compressed, similar to what Cloudinary does, and delivered in an optimized way.

The features in ImageKit, especially the retouch feature where you can retouch an image, are great. You can upload an image and usually find a pop-up where you can remove the background, turning it into a PNG with a white background if you need it for that purpose.

You can also upscale an image, so a raw image with enough pixels becomes optimized, maintaining the quality while being compressed and not too large.

I use the real-time image manipulation functionality.

There is a huge disparity in the pricing model, from the free option to the $9 plan, then it jumps to the $89 plan, which is quite substantial. I think there could be something in between, maybe at $20 or $50.

The huge difference in pricing is the only inconvenience for me. I do not know the reasoning behind it, but I would have to think twice about upgrading.

I have been using ImageKit for approximately one year.

According to my experience, ImageKit is stable. I have not experienced challenges so far.

I have not had any experience with ImageKit's technical support, as I have not encountered challenges requiring it so far.

I am currently using Cloudinary, but I am also using something else now. I currently do not use Cloudinary; I am using another tool called ImageKit.

The installation process of ImageKit is quite fair and not very complicated. If you are a developer, the installation process is not very complicated.

There are clear savings with this tool, as I experience both time saving and money saving. Storing images myself would require tools like Photoshop for size reduction before uploading. Using VPS or hosting means the size affects storage cost and can significantly increase bandwidth costs. Loading large images can impact bandwidth heavily, leading to increased overall costs. The compression technique saves money, and the CDN improves user experience with faster load times because of caching and CDN delivery.

I would not say the pricing model is unfair. I just think the difference from the $9 to the $89 plan is significant. The pricing of ImageKit is fair.

High-performance caching is very important to me. When you cache the images, such as for the most visited products and pages, it is faster to retrieve them because they are already in-memory. This means they load faster compared to accessing other products that are pulled from storage, which can take longer.

I do see an impact from lazy loading. With lazy loading, as a user accesses the product page, images load in an asynchronous way, meaning not all images load at once. For example, if there are ten products, they do not all load together, which saves bandwidth instead of loading all thousands of products at once.

For analytics, I rarely pay that much attention to them, though they are useful for monitoring the website. I have not experienced a challenge where I really need to go deep into the analytics; they are quite optimized primarily for bandwidth monitoring.

I have not experienced any technical disadvantages with ImageKit, though I have not tried their video storage and delivery aspect.
