AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You buy this platform through separate usage units, each covering one monitoring area. You can combine them based on what you need to observe. Application charges per application instance. Network & Infrastructure uses ratio-based counting: network devices and hosts count 1:1, non-host cloud services 3:1, and containers 10:1. DEM Synthetics bills in packs of 10 uptime checks. DEM RUM bills in packs of 100,000 page views. Logs charge per GB with 15-day searchable retention. Database Observability charges per physical or virtual database instance. Each dimension scales independently as your monitored resources grow.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
How does the Network & Infrastructure ratio counting work when I mix devices, hosts, cloud services, and containers?
You draw from one pool of units, but each resource type consumes at a different rate. Each network device or host uses one unit. Every three non-host cloud services use one unit. Every ten containers use one unit. Containers stretch your units furthest, while devices and hosts consume them fastest.
What counts as one billable unit for Application, DEM RUM, and Logs monitoring?
Application bills per application instance you monitor. DEM RUM bills per pack of 100,000 page views, so cost tracks web traffic volume. Logs bill per GB ingested, with searchable retention set at 15 days. Each area meters a different resource, so cost follows what you actually observe.
If I only need certain monitoring areas, do I pay for all of them?
No. Each dimension bills separately, so you buy only the areas you need. You can combine application, network, DEM Synthetics, DEM RUM, logs, and database observability in any mix. Each scales on its own metric, and adding one area does not change the units for another.

What do you like best about the product?
SolarWinds Observability is a powerful platform tool that provides infrastructure view of environments along with application, server, and network performance monitoring. As a Network Engineer and as an administrator of the platform who assists our NOSC, I can say that the monitor tool provides analysis down to the application of traffic that goes through valuable nodes and interfaces with circuits. SolarWinds provides adequate analysis and reporting tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though not yet gone, losing ATLAS is believed to hinder the way that enterprises will make use of the tool. Though intelligent maps are in with the platform, I believe that alone has more development that's needed, as with ATLAS, if you hover over a link between two nodes, it will show you the link connected with stats. Losing ATLAS will be a downside to what SOLARWINDS does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides in-depth analysis on circuits. Interfaces of network node VM monitoring performance. Server monitoring.

Pricing tends to scale up quickly, making it cost-prohibitive for large-scale enterprise deployments, growing environments, or extensive feature usage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unified "Single Pane of Glass": Combines networks, infrastructure, applications, databases, logs, and user experience into one centralized dashboard.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very easy to use, and it’s a great tool for monitoring network, and server monitoring. Very easy to create alerts, dashboard using query or manually.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every version have some bugs like currently i am on version 2025.4.3 where i am facing polling issue on agent monitored nodes. After some time, i have to repair collector and job engine services that took my 4-5 productive hours. Also, i am facing issue in unmanaging multiple nodes. But this issue is resolved in 2026.2.3.
Application monitoring is difficult when comes to configure a customise like linux script, ODBC, JMX
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashboards are helping our teams to check the health status of their devices on a single page.
