Push the boundaries of streaming with Ant Media Server Community Edition
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size across families like t2, m3, m4, m5, c3, c4, c5, c5d, c5n, and r3. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, or network capacity carry higher hourly rates. Pricing scales with the compute power you select, so you match the instance to your streaming load. The software license does not limit connections or viewers; your capacity depends on the instance you choose. AWS bills the underlying infrastructure separately from this hourly charge.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one billed hour cover, and does the software limit viewers or broadcasts?
You pay per running instance-hour for the software license tied to the EC2 instance type you launch. The license sets no fixed limit on connections or concurrent viewers. Your actual capacity depends on the instance's CPU, memory, and network resources plus your server configuration.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or powered off?
The software charge meters running time only, so a stopped instance stops accruing the hourly license fee. Powered-off instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes. To cut costs, you can shut instances down manually or use AWS auto scaling to close idle nodes.
Does this hourly charge include the AWS infrastructure cost?
No. This hourly rate covers the Ant Media Server license only. AWS bills compute, storage, and data transfer separately. In a cluster setup, a load balancer and a separate database server are also required and are not included in this charge.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
You can login with below credentials
Username: JamesBond
Password: {InstanceId*}
*Instance id can be learned from EC2 Console and it should be in the format i-xxxxxxxx like this i-028bce455e58e62df
For the ssh access to your instance, user name is ubuntu and port number is 22. You can connect it through ssh with the following command:
ssh -i your_keypair_file ubuntu@instance_ip
