Maria Vector DB with sample data by GlobalSolutions - 24*7 support
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. Pricing is not tiered by features. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific instance type, so your cost scales with the compute capacity you choose. The t3 and t3a options cover smaller sizes: small, medium, and large. The m6a and m7a options cover larger sizes, from medium and large up through 2xlarge, 4xlarge, and 8xlarge. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates. You are billed hourly for as long as the instance runs, alongside standard AWS infrastructure charges.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What resources do I get when I run one of these hourly instances?
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance running the Maria Vector DB software with sample data. The instance type sets the compute and memory you get. For example, t3.small provides a small footprint, while m7a.8xlarge provides much more compute. You run one instance per hour billed.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
The software charge meters running time by the hour. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. However, stopped instances may still incur standard AWS storage fees for attached volumes. The hourly software rate applies only while the instance runs.
How do the software charges combine with my AWS infrastructure costs?
You pay two charges on the same AWS bill. The first is the hourly software rate tied to your chosen instance type. The second is standard AWS infrastructure cost, such as compute and storage. Both accrue while the instance runs and appear as line items on your monthly invoice.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
