AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour for the software running on ARM64-based AWS EC2 instances. The many dimensions are not tiers or feature levels. Each one maps to a specific EC2 instance type and size, so your rate reflects the compute, memory, and storage of the machine you pick. Sizes range from small options like t4g.nano and a1.medium up to large ones like x2gd.metal and c6gn.16xlarge. Families such as t4g, c6g, c7g, m6g, r6g, x2gd, im4gn, is4gen, and g5g target different compute, memory, or storage needs. The software features stay the same across every instance choice.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit map to, and what do I get for that rate?
Each dimension maps to one running ARM64 EC2 instance of that type and size. You pay the software rate per hour the instance runs. The rate reflects the machine's compute, memory, and storage. All instances run the same Ubuntu 22.04 desktop and bundled tools.
Am I charged the software rate when my instance is stopped or paused?
The software rate meters running hours only. A stopped or fully powered-off instance does not accrue software charges. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volume while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
If I switch to a larger instance size later, does the software cost change?
Yes. The software rate is tied to the instance type and size you launch. Moving to a different family or size changes the hourly rate to match that machine's specs. The software and bundled desktop tools stay the same across every choice.
