Overview
Many organisations have a need for better, accurate and complete information from their IT environment in order to manage their software publishers. Common problems includes a lack of FNMS Tooling knowledge and/or resources, the need for ITAM tooling the lack of trustworthy data and de-centralised license- and contract administration.
With the Flexera One implementation service, Noventiq offers a solution for these issues. The offer contains the following elements:
- implementation of Flexera One ITAM within the infrastructure(s) of the client to ensure the inventory data relating to the usage of licenses will become available to the client for UAT and Production environments only, including a main beacon server + either agents and / or integration to other data sources;
- implementation of Flexera SaaS Manager (Flexera SaaS Manager) based on up to 3 integrations with additional integrations for their single sign on solution;
- hand over activities for BAU regarding technical aspects of Flexera One ITAM and SaaS to the clients’ ITAM team.
The implementation covers the following phases:
- Discovery and planning - The first phase will be used to gather all relevant information on the clients infrastructure, needs and requirements and the checks and balances against the Flexera tooling standard possibilities. In this first phase, the client and Noventiq define the actual scope of the implementations, the user-stories and requirements and the necessary changes within the infrastructure.
- Execution and Implementation - The second phase is the phase where the implementation of each of the Flexera One modules takes place, as well as the handover to the clients ITAM Team.
Activities during the project: During the 1st phase, Noventiq will deliver workshops and planning subject to the tasks below:
- the use and value of each aspect of Flexera One ITAM (including SaaS Manager);
- the clients infrastructure and the data management processes and flows;
- the (inter)dependencies and the requirements of out-of-the-box possibilities for each integration as well as migration of data from incumbent solution (if any). Noventiq will use the first phase to gather all relevant information for a successful implementation of the noted modules of Flexera One, that fits in with the infrastructure and meets the needs and requirements defined by the client. The information allows Noventiq to create a detailed design for the tooling that will ensure that there is a clear definition of:
- the way the tools fit in within the clients infrastructure;
- the internal processes regarding data management and the relevant roles and responsibilities to actually use, manage and maintain the modules;
- the activities required to implement the tools within the clients infrastructure;
- the activities required to connect/link the dataflows between the modules;
- the activities required to maintain the modules.
During the 2nd phase, Noventiq will deliver the following:
- Realise beacon servers (up to 3) in both test and production environments.
- Realise connections with sources such as Active Directory, VMware, SCCM, Azure etc. etc.
- Configure and support agent roll-out in both test and production environments.
- Full documentation design and handover technical implementation
- Training regarding maintenance and verification assets to handover to BAU.
After this the SaaS management solution will be implemented. Whilst SaaS Manger is part of Flexera One ITAM, there is a set of distinct services for implementation. The activities include:
- Define Design and Connections, Define Pre-Reqs for SaaS Manager
- Out of the box (OOTB) integrations for up to 3 integrations.
- SSO Integration.
- Full documentation design and handover technical implementation.
- Training.
The projects deliverables are standardized and will be prioritized during the workshops. Noventiq will assign a dedicated project manager for the duration of the project.
