What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about SailPoint is that it takes a lot of the complexity out of managing user access. We use it every day for access requests, approvals, provisioning, and certifications, and the automation saves a significant amount of manual work. It also gives us a clear view of user access across applications, which helps with security reviews, compliance, and audits. Another big advantage is its flexibility. We've been able to customize workflows and integrate SailPoint with various systems to fit our business needs. Overall, it has improved both operational efficiency and governance across our environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside is that SailPoint can be complex at times. It offers a lot of flexibility, which is great, but that also means there is a learning curve when configuring workflows, integrations, and custom requirements. For organizations with complex environments, implementations and upgrades can take time and require skilled resources. That said, the platform's capabilities for governance, automation, and compliance make the investment worthwhile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before SailPoint, joiner, mover, and leaver processes involved significant manual effort, multiple handoffs between teams, and a higher risk of delays or access-related issues. SailPoint has helped us automate identity lifecycle management by ensuring users receive the right access when they join, access changes are processed efficiently when they move roles, and access is removed promptly when they leave the organization.
In addition to lifecycle management, SailPoint centralizes access requests, approvals, provisioning, certifications, and compliance reporting into a single platform. This has reduced manual work, improved turnaround times, and given us much better visibility into user access across applications.
The biggest benefit has been stronger governance and security without slowing down the business. Automated workflows, access reviews, and reporting have made audit and compliance activities much easier while helping ensure access is consistently managed throughout the employee lifecycle. Overall, SailPoint has improved operational efficiency, reduced administrative overhead, and enabled us to manage identity and access at enterprise scale.

Streamlined Onboarding with Powerful Customization

What do you like best about the product?
We really like how efficient SailPoint is. It's super easy to move around the platform and construct workflows. We went live with it quickly, and after just a few months, we were building workflows and transforms with ease. The customization features are also great—they allow us to adapt the tool for our needs with ease. The search capability is particularly impressive; it lets us zero in on specific identity attributes, which is helpful for troubleshooting access issues. The access history feature is also invaluable, as it allows us to track changes on specific accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue we've found with SailPoint is the limited reporting capabilities. Currently, the reports mainly cover what's inside SailPoint's identity cube, and it doesn't include many attribute-specific items from source data. If specific data from sources isn't pulled into the identity cube, you can't report on it. Although you can add an attribute to your identity cube and transform it, it'd be nice to build reports directly from the search engine based on source attributes, without integrating everything into the identity cube.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SailPoint handles onboarding and offboarding efficiently, ensuring users have access from day one and are removed when they leave, reducing security risks and simplifying role management.

What do you like best about the product?
SailPoint has allowed us to have a single point of reference for the various Identities that are part of higher educations. Without it we would be living in chaos. We are looking forward to beginning to use the onboarding of applications and increased recertification functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have multiple sources of truth for our Identities and have not been able to find a good way to link our various sources to generate a single identity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a single source for all Identities in the organization.
