What do you like best about the product?

I really like the workflow and customization in SailPoint because it allows rapid setup and even non-technical people can code. The Workflow UI step creator is great for making advanced UI changes like adding forms. I also appreciate everything about the LCM, access automation, and especially how the reminder emails and reporting enable even a group of people to directly run reports using self-service.

What do you dislike about the product?

I'm not a deep coder but could handle the business requirements and give to my team. I would like to see something where a non-coder can also build stuff. I need more tools for my disposal where I can take things from requirement gathering to development and testing to deploy myself.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use SailPoint for automating access management, which helps streamline onboarding and password management. The workflow and customization features, like the rapid setup and UI changes, are especially beneficial for both technical and non-technical users.

Sometimes it hangs and request takes a lot of time to be completed

Sailpoint is solving a huge problem of information security. Being a separate tool to manage user access and help organisation monitor the access in an automated fashion through certification. I think that's how it is useful.

What do you like best about the product?

I like that SailPoint automates access management and reduces manual work. The access review process is easy to manage and helps improve security. It provides good visibility into who has access across the organization. I also appreciate the segregation of duty policies and the JML process. Integrating applications with SailPoint is made easier with the help of agents.

SailPoint is a powerful platform, but some configurations can be complex and require specialized knowledge. The user interface could be more intuitive in certain areas. Integrations and customization can sometimes take significant effort and time. Improved reporting and easier troubleshooting would make the platform even better.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use SailPoint to manage user access and identity governance, automate provisioning, offboarding, and access reviews, which reduces manual work, improves security, and ensures compliance. It helps streamline processes and provides visibility into user access, enhancing operational efficiency and control.

What do you like best about the product?

I really like the scope and design of SailPoint, especially how it handles connectors. The governance and audit features are what I like the most. It helps ensure our accesses are periodically certified, and we have all our audit needs covered, especially for external audits. SailPoint delivers the information we need during audits effectively.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think SailPoint could be improved by aligning more with industry standards and introducing additional features that people are looking for. I've noticed that while some AI features are expected soon, the release of new versions seems to have slowed down. For instance, the transition from version 8.2 to 8.5 took a long time, and there's uncertainty about when the next version will come out. It would be great if SailPoint could ensure it stays updated with the latest versions more frequently.

SailPoint helps my organization transition to an identity management system, providing centralized access to multiple platforms and servers, ensuring governance and audit compliance.

One thing I dislike about SailPoint is that some configurations and troubleshooting can be complex, especially when dealing with customizations or integrations. It can sometimes take extra effort to understand and resolve issues.

SailPoint helps solve identity and access management challenges by ensuring users have the right access to the right resources. It improves security, reduces manual work, and makes access management easier to manage and audit.

I love that SailPoint offers a flexible, modular implementation, which allowed us to iteratively build our solution in a complex environment. This flexibility made the transition from our old system smoother by enabling us to gradually expand functionality. Once our engineers got comfortable with the system, making progress was much quicker, which I really appreciate.

What do you dislike about the product?

Some of our core code has become complex, and we realized late in the day that we needed to change it, which proved to be quite difficult. However, I'm not sure how SailPoint could have made that easier for us. Also, a peer forum to share technical challenges would be awesome. SailPoint has good support, but sometimes being able to discuss a challenge with a peer would allow different perspectives to potentially simplify the problem.

SailPoint helps my team ensure the right people have the right access at the right time. Its flexible, modular implementation allows us to build our solution iteratively and expand functionality step by step, making identity maturity easier to navigate.

Limitation on IIQ and more inclination towards ISC. Being a Sailpoint IIQ developer, I would love that we get those features and AI agentic models to built in Sailpoint IIQ features also
