The NextNav 3D JavaScript SDK (3D JS SDK) is offered to enable visualization of 9-1-1 caller or First Responder location within 3D building wireframes. The SDK is tailored for web applications but can be used in mobile applications as well.
The SDK is designed to be installed as a button/icon on an existing web application which will launch the 3D viewer in a new browser tab. In addition, vector data from the user web browser can be streamed and viewed in the SDK along with the 3D building data. Lastly, dynamic location data streaming from a web or mobile application such as responder location is supported to allow for initial and continuous location updates.
The intent of this SDK is to enhance the functionality of NextNav partners existing 2D map, and not provide a full-featured, map replacement. The SDK is designed to provide awareness of 9-1-1 caller location combined with First Responders location in 3D in relationship to a incident by providing 3D building data and plotting locations on the x,y and z axis. This listing offers one pricing dimension based on your annual 911 call volume. You buy access to the NextNav 3D SDK covering up to 100,000 911 calls per year. Pricing is tied to that call-volume unit, so your cost scales with the number of calls you plan to support each year. The SDK adds 3D vertical location visualization to your existing computer-aided dispatch and mobile applications. There are no separate tiers or add-ons to select. Because billing follows a contract model, you commit to the covered call volume for the agreed term.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one 911 call toward the 100,000 annual limit?
The unit is each 911 call for which the SDK visualizes vertical location. Your contract covers up to 100,000 such calls per year. Each call where 3D or altitude data is displayed for the caller or first responder counts against that yearly total.
What does the SDK actually add to our existing dispatch software?
The SDK installs an icon on your 2D map to launch a 3D viewer. It shows Height Above Terrain and Estimated Floor Level for callers and responders. You also get an altimeter overlay and building wireframe views. It works with most existing computer-aided dispatch and mobile applications.
What happens if our annual 911 call volume goes above 100,000?
This contract covers up to 100,000 calls per year. The marketplace listing does not state overage handling for calls beyond that ceiling. If you expect higher volumes, contact the vendor to confirm how additional call coverage is arranged.
