You buy access to the Sentiment Analysis API through a monthly contract based on request volume. The four plans differ only by how many API requests you can make each month. The Basic Plan covers the lowest monthly request count, and the Pro, Ultra, and Mega plans each raise that monthly allowance in steps. You pick the plan that matches your expected monthly request volume. Every plan delivers the same analysis results, so the choice comes down to how many requests you need per month.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one request for billing purposes?
One request is a single API call that analyzes one block of text and returns its sentiment. The API accepts up to 14,336 Unicode characters per call, including spaces and any markup like HTML or XML tags. Each call you send against the endpoint counts toward your monthly request allowance.
What happens if I go over my monthly request allowance?
Your plan includes a fixed number of requests each month. Overage or "per extra" pricing beyond that quota is only available through a separate marketplace, not through AWS Marketplace. If you expect to exceed your monthly count regularly, choose a plan with a higher monthly allowance.
Is there a limit on how fast I can send requests?
There is no fixed rate limit on this API. The server normally handles about 6 requests per second and scales up periodically toward 300 per second under heavier traffic. Ramp up gradually, since sending large bursts immediately can cause requests to fail before scaling catches up.
