Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Your credits pay for platform services charged by usage. These include running Actors, proxies, data transfer, and storage. Each Actor run draws compute units, plus any proxies and data transfer it uses. The exact draw depends on the Actor, how often it runs, and how long each run lasts.
Excess usage does not stop your work on a paid plan. You keep using the platform, and the overage gets added to your next invoice with a notification. Unused credits do not roll over; they expire at the end of each billing cycle.
You get a Technical Project Manager, Lead Engineer, and Account Manager assigned to your project. The team builds and maintains custom web scrapers, AI agents, and integrations. An SLA sets response times and monitoring. You own the delivered code, so you can move solutions off the platform if needed.

What do you like best about the product?
The ready-made scrapers (Actors) in the Store are really convenient. I can pick one, set it up in minutes, and pull public Instagram data straight into my own tools without writing any code. It saves me hours of manual searching every week, and I also like that it connects with Claude through the MCP server.
What do you dislike about the product?
With larger runs, the cost can add up quickly, so I always set a limit for each run upfront. It also took me a little time to figure out which Actor is the best fit for each task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to find the right Instagram accounts and Reels to reach out to potential clients for my video agency. Before Apify, I did everything manually, which took hours every week. Now I use a ready-made Actor that collects the public data for me, and I can send it straight into my own tools. Disclosure: I received a reward from Apify for writing this review.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Apify multiple times a week and it's become a core part of how I work. The ready-made actors for Instagram and X mean I can pull posts, profiles and engagement data in minutes without building or maintaining my own scrapers. I also use it to build lead lists, which saves hours of manual research. It just works, and it's reliable enough that I've built it into my regular workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is the only real downside. It can add up when you run a lot of jobs each week, and it isn't always easy to know upfront what a run will cost. Clearer cost estimates before running an actor would help. Otherwise there's very little I'd change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I make content about startups, AI and tech, and run an AI consultancy. Apify solves two problems for me: getting Instagram and X content data for research without doing it by hand, and building lead lists quickly. Before, both meant slow manual work or fragile homemade scripts. Now I can get clean data in a few clicks and spend my time on the actual work instead of collecting it.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Apify is its flexibility and extensive Actor marketplace. It allows us to automate complex web research, collect data from multiple sources, and integrate everything into our AI-powered workflows without building and maintaining every scraper ourselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can become difficult to predict at scale, especially when running multiple Actors frequently. Some Actors also require troubleshooting when websites change or introduce anti-bot protections. Better cost forecasting and more consistent reliability would improve the overall experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apify solves the challenge of collecting and processing business data at scale. It automates time-consuming research, helps us discover qualified prospects, and feeds structured data into our AI workflows. This saves time, reduces manual work, and allows us to identify business opportunities more efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Apify to fetch App Store and Play Store apps by keyword, along with their popularity and reviews. It abstracts away proxy management and writing scripts to get the data, so I can give it input and get output. I like the smooth user experience and onboarding, and the $5 in monthly free usage credit lets me try different actors without spending money. The client libraries cover all programming languages, are well written, and abstract out a lot for me. The platform has been reliable and available, and I’ve never had an issue getting data. Setup was seamless with AI agents: I just put the API key in the environment, and didn’t spend any time on it. The AI agent integration is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Apify as a black box: I give it input and get the data I need without managing proxies or writing scripts to fetch it. Proxy management is especially hard, and writing those scripts would be tedious.

What do you like best about the product?
Quick and easy to set up, with a diverse range of tools. Integrated quickly and easily with my Codex setup. Allowed my to 10x what i could do with codex. No issues getting started. Does exactly what you want, works well.
What do you dislike about the product?
A more generous subscription option would be nice. Other than that, I have no other notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mostly use Apify to access the Meta Ads Library. It is quick and easy to set up.
