This is a repackaged open-source software product wherein additional charges apply for support and for providing it in a simple consumable AMI. Apache is the most widely used web server software. It runs on 67% of all web servers in the world. It is fast, reliable, and secure. It can be highly customized to meet the needs of many different environments by using extensions and modules. We have made this web server production-ready with a hardened image, removing all existing vulnerabilities, and enabling the required performance tweaking. You will also be able to monitor the server status from the desktop.

You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run. All options deliver the same hardened Apache web server on Windows 2025, so your choice is about compute capacity, not features. Pricing scales with the instance you pick. Burstable t2, t3, and t3a types fit lighter or variable workloads at smaller sizes like nano, micro, small, and medium. The m6a and m7a types target steady, higher-demand workloads, scaling up through xlarge sizes to 48xlarge. You run only what you need and stop charges by stopping the instance.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each type maps to an AWS EC2 size with set CPU and memory. Burstable t2, t3, and t3a types range from nano up to 2xlarge. The m6a and m7a types run from medium or large up to 48xlarge for heavier, steady workloads. You pick the size that fits your capacity needs.
Hourly software charges accrue only while the instance runs. When you stop the instance, software charges stop. Underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volume may still apply even when the instance is stopped. You pay only for the hours the instance actually runs.
You stop the running instance and relaunch on a different supported type, then pay that type's hourly rate. Charges follow whichever type runs at the time. All types deliver the same hardened Apache web server on Windows 2025, so only compute capacity changes.
