AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You choose between two billing structures. The first charges per user, per hour, so your cost scales with how many people use the software and how long they use it. This fits variable or short-term usage. The second charges per host, meaning you pay based on the server running the application, and it includes support. This fits steady use on a fixed server. Both give access to the same web-based variant mining tool for storing and searching SNP and Indel data. Pick the model that matches your usage pattern.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one user under the per-user, per-hour option?
One user is a single person accessing the web-based application. You are billed for each active user, multiplied by the hours they use the tool. The software runs in any browser, so users can log in from any device, anywhere.
What does one host mean for the per-host billing option?
One host is the server running the application. You pay based on that server, regardless of how many people use it. This option includes support. You can host it on your internal servers or on cloud servers.
Which billing option should I pick if usage is steady versus occasional?
The per-user, per-hour option meters active users and their hours, so cost drops when fewer people use it. The per-host option charges a fixed amount per server no matter the user count. Pick per-user for variable or short-term use, and per-host for continuous, predictable use.
