Overview
This is a cloud-native HAProxy Community Edition runtime on the Websoft9 Applications Hosting Platform. It is always up-to-date, secure, and ready to use right out of the box with business support from Websoft9.
HAProxy is a free, very fast and reliable solution, offering high availability, load balancing, and proxying for TCP and HTTP-based applications, used for Load Balancer.
Websoft9 is a lightweight, self-hosting PaaS that allows you to deploy multiple applications on your own cloud infrastructure. It employs a GitOps approach and includes an integrated app store that supports one-click deployment of over 200 template applications, as well as the ability to deploy custom applications. Users have complete autonomy, ensuring that applications can be easily configured and continuously deployed even after they are live. Additionally, the web-based interface allows users to effortlessly perform tasks such as domain binding, HTTPS setup, access control, and status monitoring.

You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. The software carries no separate license fee here; billing tracks your chosen compute. Options span several instance families: general-purpose (m4, m5, m5a, m6a), compute-optimized (c4, c5, c5a, c6a, c6i, c7a), burstable (t2, t3), and a memory-heavy x1e option. Within each family, sizes scale from small (large, nano, medium) up to larger multi-core types (xlarge through 32xlarge and metal). Larger instances cost more per hour because they provide more CPU and memory. Your total depends on instance choice and hours run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each instance type maps to an EC2 virtual machine with a set CPU and memory profile. You pay for the software plus the running EC2 compute. The rate reflects the instance size you pick, from small burstable types up to large multi-core and metal options.
Hourly software charges track running time only. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software fee. You may still pay underlying AWS storage costs for the volume, but the software meters active hours. Restarting the instance resumes hourly billing.
The image bundles HAProxy Community Edition on RHEL. HAProxy is a TCP and HTTP load balancer and proxy server. You can enable statistics monitoring and set up high availability with clustering. Configuration lives in a mounted config file managed through the Websoft9 console.

Vendor refund policy
Annual Subscriptions: Refunds are allowed if you are canceling a subscription to purchase a new subscription from Websoft9 at the same or higher rate.
Hourly Subscriptions: We do not currently support refunds, but you can cancel at any time.

Usage instructions
Once the instance is running, enter the http://Public DNS:9000 provided by AWS into your browser. You will then see the Websoft9 Console.
And refer to the following steps to get started:
- Use SSH to connect your AWS EC2 by user ec2-user
- Run command 'sudo usermod -aG docker ec2-user && sudo passwd ec2-user' to set password and permisson for this user
- Use your EC2 username 'ec2-user' and password to log in Websoft9 Console.
- Go to the "App Store" in the Websoft9 Console and install HAProxy with a one-click.
- Once installation is complete, go to "My Apps" to get the port, access url and credentials of HAProxy.
