This software carries no license charge. You pay only for the AWS EC2 compute you run it on. Pricing is billed hourly and scales by instance size across seven t2 options: nano, micro, small, medium, large, xlarge, and 2xlarge. Each step up adds more CPU and memory, so your hourly cost rises with the instance size you choose. The vendor recommends an instance with at least 4 GB memory and 2 CPUs, which the t2.medium meets. You can run two or more appliances per resource location for availability, and each running instance bills separately.

The vendor recommends an instance with at least 4 GB memory and 2 CPUs. Among the t2 options, t2.medium meets this minimum. Smaller sizes like nano, micro, and small fall below the recommended memory and CPU. Larger sizes exceed it and cost more per hour.
Hourly software charges apply while an instance runs. The software itself has no license fee, so you pay only for EC2 compute time. A fully stopped instance stops accruing compute charges. Underlying AWS storage for the appliance disk may still apply while the instance is stopped.
Each running appliance bills separately by its instance-hours. Running two appliances in a resource location doubles the compute charge for that location. The vendor recommends at least two per resource location so one stays available during updates or outages. Load spreads across them automatically.
