This RHEL 9.6 AMI is built for teams that want a clean Red Hat Enterprise Linux start on EC2, without spending the first hours on basic security and AWS tooling. The seller applied a practical security and operations baseline so instances start ready for production-style use.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment. The rate depends on which AWS EC2 instance type you launch. Each dimension maps to one instance type, from small burstable sizes like t3.nano up to memory, compute, storage, GPU, and bare-metal options such as x8i.96xlarge or p5.48xlarge. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, or accelerators carry higher hourly rates. Your total cost scales with the size and number of instances you run and how many hours they stay active. This price includes vendor support for the operating system.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance type. Launching that type gives you a virtual machine with the CPU, memory, storage, and any GPU or accelerator that type provides. You run Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.6 on it. The hourly rate covers the software license and vendor support for that running instance.
The software fee meters running time only. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue this hourly charge. You are billed per active instance-hour. Note that separate AWS fees, such as storage for attached volumes, may still apply while the instance is stopped. Those are billed by AWS, not this listing.
This is usage-based, pay-as-you-go billing. You pay only for the hours each instance runs, with no upfront commitment. Your cost scales with the size of instances you choose, how many you run, and how long they stay active. Stopping an instance stops the software charge for it.

Usage instructions
SSH to the instance and login as 'ec2-user' using the key specified at launch.
Navigate to your Amazon EC2 console and verify that you're in the correct region. Choose Instance and select your launched instance.
Select the server to display your metadata page and choose the Status checks tab at the bottom of the page to review if your status checks passed or failed. Or
Select monitor an troubleshoot and select get system log to see the system log or select get instance screenshot to see state of your screen at the current time
The operating system does not save any sensitive information for the customers. The customer is responsible for saving any information, sensitive or not. The data saved on the volumes is not encrypted by default.
All instance authentication must use key pair access, not password-based authentication. AMIs does not contain passwords, authentication keys, key pairs, security keys, or other credentials. PasswordAuthentication is set to NO in sshd_config.
