Agent Accelerator executes regulated patient workflows - identity verification, appointment scheduling, EHR updates, billing inquiries, and care continuity - from a single governed workspace inside your healthcare contact center. Agents connect to Epic, Oracle Health, Athenahealth, Meditech, and NextGen in real time, with role-based access and HIPAA-compliant audit traceability on every interaction.
Healthcare contact center agents work across disconnected EHR, billing, scheduling, and care management systems during every patient interaction. Every uncontrolled action against PHI creates HIPAA exposure. Agent Accelerator governs how patient workflows execute - agents operate from a single orchestrated workspace where patient records surface at interaction start, identity verification follows a structured sequence before any PHI is accessed or modified, and every action is logged with full audit traceability from the moment the call connects.
The workspace connects Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), Athenahealth, Meditech, and NextGen to Amazon Connect - agents read and write to EHR systems, manage appointment scheduling, handle billing inquiries, and process referrals without leaving a single interface. Screen pops deliver patient demographics, appointment history, prescriptions, open cases, and care plans before the interaction begins. Role-based access controls govern what each agent can view and act on. A no-code drag-and-drop designer lets operations teams configure the workspace for patient services, billing, scheduling, and care coordination - without development work.
Recording mechanisms pause during sensitive PHI and payment exchanges and resume after completion, supporting HIPAA and PCI-DSS requirements. Interaction context, workflow status, and patient details travel across transfers and escalations - agents continue the conversation rather than restart it. Agent Accelerator supports cloud, on-premise, and hybrid deployments across healthcare networks of all sizes.
Highlights
Execute patient workflows in a HIPAA-compliant environment. One governed workspace connects Amazon Connect to Epic, Oracle Health, Athenahealth, Meditech, and NextGen - agents handle verification, scheduling, EHR updates, billing, and referrals without switching systems.
PHI access is controlled and auditable on every interaction. Structured identity verification executes before any patient information is accessed or modified - role-based access controls and full audit traceability built into every workflow.
Patient context travels with the case. Interaction history, workflow status, and patient records persist across transfers and escalations - agents continue where the last agent left off, not from a blank screen.

You buy this product through an annual contract based on agent desktop usage minutes. The three licenses differ only by the volume of minutes included per year: 2.5 million, 5.5 million, or 10.5 million. Each pool covers both inbound and outbound agent desktop usage. You pick the tier that matches your expected yearly call volume, and higher tiers raise the included minutes. Note that some connected third-party systems may charge separate API usage fees, billed apart from this license.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts toward my included minutes — is it call time, agent login time, or something else?
The minutes measure agent desktop usage across both inbound and outbound interactions. Your annual pool counts the time agents spend handling interactions on the unified desktop. You select the tier that matches your expected yearly interaction volume: 2.5 million, 5.5 million, or 10.5 million minutes.
Does the license fee cover the fees charged by connected systems like scheduling or records platforms?
No. Some connected third-party systems charge separate fees such as API usage, access, transaction, or data fees. These are not included in your license. Where they apply, the vendor bills them separately, quarterly in advance, based on expected usage, with monthly usage reports.
What happens if my agents use more minutes than my chosen tier includes during the year?
Each tier gives a fixed pool of minutes per year. To handle more interaction volume, you select a tier with more included minutes. Higher tiers raise the included minutes rather than adding per-minute overage to a lower tier. Match your tier to expected yearly usage.
