Businesses today have to be dynamic in order to support a wide variety of data requirements and business needs. Customers looking at their SAP software journey from R/3 and ECC to S/4Hana require quick access to SAP data to provide to third party systems and push data in SAP. Boomi for SAP is a software product to accelerate SAP integration utilizing functionality and investments in SAP, to create relevant services and integration scenarios. Boomi for SAP is designed to guide the user to design OpenAPI REST services to retrieve SAP data and quickly integrate them, thereby lowering development, maintenance, time & cost. Boomi for SAP delivers a unique UI for Line of Business to extract SAP data to be delivered in open easy-readable formats, alongside a framework for SAP developers to configure services from SAP. The UI is designed to support Business Analysts, Line of Business users and Data Citizens, enabling users with familiarity of business data to expose the data without any SAP coding, while the monitoring is targeted for technical SAP users focused on monitoring, creating event jobs, and data for any auditing requirements. Boomi for SAP is composed of two parts: A core (made in ABAP) which is an SAP module/application installed on the SAP systems and a UI designed to interact with the services generated. Usage of the above Boomi Integration and/or EDI Services are subject to the annual limits and tiers for each purchased Connector and each Subscription Year, as set out at <www.boomi.com/cct >.
Boomi for SAP does have limited utility without an installed SAP server on the customer side.
Boomi for SAP is an on-prem SAP certified product supporting down to NW7.31 and up to HANA 2021. Delivered with the SaaS Boomi platform, customers can use the Boomi for SAP connector to utilize the services exposed from SAP. Boomi for SAP for SAP is certified for ECC 750 and HANA 2021. Boomi for SAP for SAP can easily run on lower SAP versions than ECC 750 with some prerequisites. Lowest version is ECC 731. What do you like best about the product?
I really like the wide variety of options Boomi provides for building, deploying integrations, and handling insights and performance. Boomi AI is a standout feature for me because it helps us work on integrations daily and resolve errors quickly when we get stuck. Boomi makes my daily job a bit easier and more creative, allowing me to dive deeper into learning new things and improving the quality and performance of our integrations. The initial setup was straightforward, and the Boomi team was greatly supportive, attentive, and cooperative, which I appreciated a lot. I'm pleased to be part of the Boomi community.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the Boomi AI agent a bit lacking because it's stuck when it comes to correcting spelling or grammatical mistakes. It struggles with understanding what we want to convey, especially if there are sentence order issues. It often replies that it can only answer questions directly about Boomi, even when we ask relevant questions related to integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Boomi simplifies integration by providing a drag-and-drop interface, a variety of options to meet all requirements, and AI assistance to create basic integration templates. It answers our queries, enhancing ease and creativity in daily tasks. Boomi constantly updates, making our work easier.

What do you like best about the product?
1.Boomi is low code platform and visual design makes integrations quick to build and easy to maintain.

1. Licensing and runtime costs is really high at scale use.

Boomi enabled real time integration between on-prem ERP and multiple SaaS platform, replacing manual and batch based data exchange which help us to solved data latency and consistency issue and reduced operational error.

Powerful Middleware with Initial Setup Challenges

What do you like best about the product?
I think what we like about Boomi is the uptime and the API, which is very robust and constantly being innovative. It's great that it easily connects with platforms like AWS as well. We recently started using Boomi with AWS, and although there was a bit of a learning curve, once we got there, it was fantastic. We have been able to create queues in AWS, and Boomi has done a great job making calls to our ERP while checking concurrency. This really helps us assess how much data we can push into the ERP at any given time, depending on user activity. Also, Boomi is constantly developing its features for the future. They're using AI to trigger alerts when something goes wrong or to find anomalies in the data, which then sends an email to our BA team to help them make faster decisions. I appreciate these aspects of Boomi a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are server restarts in Boomi, which can cause some transactions to be lost. It's a bit of a hassle because we have to find out which transactions were successfully imported and which weren't after a restart. It would be better if this issue was fixed so we wouldn't have to spend so much time dealing with transaction failures due to server restarts. Also, while Boomi is easy to use once it's set up, it's crucial to get the right people to set it up correctly. Just paying for the software doesn't bring efficiency; you have to invest in the right expertise upfront.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Boomi simplifies integrating various platforms with our ERP, pushing transactions to and from warehouses globally. It allows us to scale easily, manage data flows from multiple sources, and expand into new regions efficiently. Using Boomi, we streamline our processes, enhancing global connectivity and operational flexibility.

What do you like best about the product?
Boomi's interface is user-friendly and intuitive, allowing us to easily create data connections and integrate them into our data analysis processes. Managing a large number of connections is straightforward, and they can be refreshed on a regular basis without hassle.

Makes use of non-native connections using REST APIs are usually more complicated that when we would have using an app such as Postman for example. There is definitely room to improve to make this more intuitive.
The use of emails as a source for source to target river cannot be done with Boomi for our business outlook inbox when the report comes as a link as our business IT firewall security encrypts URLs, which Boomi doesnt have a way to access the report in the link.

What do you like best about the product?
1. First and foremost, it's easy to adapt for any kind of integration with all kinds of technologies, without worrying about any system complexity.

This thing sometime, not a good thing, because if we want to lock some processes or folder that only respective developer can access it, that can't be possible in boomi.
3. Also, it provides limited document memory to test in its canvas/playground, so sometimes quite difficult to do unit test in certain processes.

As I'm using boomi on daily basis to deliver the business solutions to our client, where we need to sync up their lead to cash cycle for their business flow with two or more different systems, like CRM, ERP, e-commerce, etc., here boomi acts as a middleware that helps us to sync the customer data from one system to another without any flaws or discrepancy. For example, we have to sync the customer's product and its price levels with their website and their ERP system on realtime after applying some validation as per system specific, whether it is going to ERP or Website, in this boomi helps us to build realtime processes that sync data in both systems without any delay or flaws.
