    What is our primary use case?

    TalentEdge  AI has been utilized in our organization for workforce management and streamlining our recruitment drive for almost four years. In our department, TalentEdge  serves as one of the main tools for talent acquisition, functioning as a powerful AI tool that helps with talent mapping, talent selection, and the overall talent acquisition system, making it significantly easier for us to shortlist and screen candidates efficiently among thousands of applicants for management programs each year.

    We conduct many AI-driven interviews, standardized evaluations, and assessment processes for candidates, which simplifies hiring and helps us rank candidates based on their experience, education, and job fit. We are identifying specific skill sets and competencies across different countries to ensure unbiased hiring decisions, which involves salary and compensation benchmarking that allows us to create competitive compensation packages in alignment with local market demands.

    What is our primary use case?

    The main use case in online learning and content development involves TalentEdge  for executive education implementation where senior leaders in various organizations enroll themselves in leadership management programs for career progression. Professionals are taught about enhancing leadership attributes and how to sharpen and strategize decision-making skills. This has been one of our best-selling offerings, and we have been using it for close to five years now. A lot of senior professionals and senior leadership have become part of this.

    Many organizations collaborate with us, partner with us, and nominate their employees for executive education programs and leadership training. This helps create a succession pipeline for those organizations. Once the training delivery is complete, these people are evaluated and certified through regular evaluation activities. We use TalentEdge  for upskilling and reskilling because employees are learning about artificial intelligence, analytics, digital marketing, and technology skills that they were not previously exposed to.

    We also implement corporate learning programs that are tailor-made and customer-specific or employee-specific. When new employees join the organization, all orientation and knowledge transfer are conducted through TalentEdge. Overall, we use it for delivering management training, conducting career succession and career progression activities, enabling remote learning, and facilitating continuous learning across professional journeys.

    What is most valuable?

    The business outcomes are quite unique for our organization. Our employees now feel strengthened after acquiring these skills, and they have stated that their overall productivity and efficiency have increased compared to earlier times. There is higher employee retention through career development because we are giving them many opportunities for career progression and career succession. Employees are facing less difficulty in terms of upskilling and are showing more interest in the organization. We have been able to identify strong leadership succession lines because these training programs help us internalize and identify the right set of people with the right set of attributes.

    People and customers who are target beneficiaries are adopting all these technologies and trainings in a faster way because the mode of delivery and navigating the system and learning modules on TalentEdge is very easy. The digital ease and digital convenience have enabled us to get more clients and sign new service level agreements with newer clients, giving the organization a competitive edge.

    We have been able to conduct a lot of live interactive classes and sessions for these training delivery programs. These real-time online sessions with subject matter experts and industry leaders provide more engagement, and people pay serious attention to them. We are signing new memoranda of understanding and service level agreements with leading institutions, academic institutions, and centers of excellence, and these courses are being offered in collaboration with reputed universities and institutes.

    People now have convenience and flexibility because they can complete their training deliveries in a flexible learning schedule mode. They can learn new skills and attributes during weekends and upgrade themselves, making it very easy for working professionals. From time to time, TalentEdge has a pool of great experts and industry leaders who keep aligning the curricula and training according to current market needs. The centralized repository provides access to recordings, session recordings, lectures, assignments, submissions, and other learning resources. Overall, it is a very powerful learning solution.

    The live online instructor-led sessions are definitely out of the box for our organization because we have been able to collaborate and build strong relationships with universities and industries. The flexibility is one of the key strengths because approximately 70 to 75 percent of our major target audience is working professionals who need flexibility in completing their courses. The way content needs to be navigated and updated is excellent, so a wide range of new management training programs and technology programs have been onboarded onto the platform, attracting more customers. The central repository is also one of the key objectives for our organization because compliance and governance can only be achieved if we have access to all resources, recorded content, and digital resources.

    What needs improvement?

    There are definitely a few improvement areas that are currently giving us challenges. Navigation is very easy, but sometimes the system shows a lot of downtime during weekends with buffering happening throughout, and the system is not functioning properly. We request that the functioning could be streamlined during weekends as well, as many of our activities and trainings happen during weekends. The weekends should have very strong uptime and functioning of the portal.

    Regarding mobile learning experience, some learners want the application to be deployed and easy to grasp through the mobile application, but currently that is not available. The main problem we face is the practical exposure, on-the-job training, and hands-on learning exposure because a lot of content is very theoretical in nature and does not provide actual exposure to the practical skills required. We have requested their business team to bring in peer networking and peer-to-peer networking so that learners can interact among themselves and coordinate better with each other.

    The most critical part is assessment evaluation because assessments have to be transparent, ethically sound, just, and fair. The portal should be strengthened so that any kind of discrepancy when people are taking assessments does not occur under any circumstance. We are currently facing some hitches and glitches in assessment evaluation, but otherwise that needs improvement. If more languages could be incorporated for assessment evaluation, that would be great.

    We are getting a lot of training program requests that are now custom-made or tailor-made artificial intelligence-driven personalization. Learning recommendations right now are very limited unless they are customized and personalized to user or professional preference. There is a lot more work required on that front. Additionally, if any kind of placement or career services could be launched across the programs, people could actually get exposure to placement drives and have a good understanding of their career development path.

    For how long have I used the solution?

    We have been using TalentEdge for approximately more than six or seven years.

    What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    The platform is stable overall. I would say that approximately 95 percent of the time, it is a very mature online platform. For these high-end executive education programs and professional development degrees, it is very important that the platform should be very stable. Sometimes we have faced a few instances of downtime, but only during weekends and not otherwise. The compatibility and configuration ease of the platform with other platforms is very easy. Data synchronization with one platform and another platform is absolutely very easy. This is why there is very strong operational reliability to it.

    What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

    The implementation was straightforward and the pricing was on a decent level. It was not cheap, but it was not very high and costly either. The pricing was fine. We have an annual licensing agreement with them, and every year the requirements of products and service offerings change, and that is how they customize our quotations. We are happy with the arrangement. They also provide 5 to 10 percent discounts based on our requirements every year. It has always been a good dealing with them.

    How are customer service and support?

    Customer support is very good because 24/7 chat support, email support, and phone support systems are already in place. We have no issues with support. Our resolution time has also reduced from 48 hours to 24 hours, which is definitely a very good thing.

    Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

    Apart from internal solutions, we evaluated some market solutions. One was Skillsoft . We were also using edX, Coursera, and upGrad, all of which are widely known. We used these for a few of the training delivery activities.

    How was the initial setup?

    TalentEdge is one of the leaders in terms of strong governance and security because it supports all kinds of online learning platforms that are protected with multi-layer authentication and multi-layer validations happening before users actually enter the program. The platform is created in a very regulatory manner, and when it is exposed to regulated sectors like banking and financial services, more compliance checks come into place. TalentEdge is definitely a very strong platform in terms of checking user authentication and whether secure login is happening. There have been no cases of cyber threats. Access controls are not compromised. All these kinds of prior checks keep happening in the system from the back end.

    Regarding data privacy, many activities are happening to curtail unnecessary information flow from one department to another. A very strong mechanism has been added over the past two years where auditing and reporting trails, training progress, and completion reports are being created separately. Whenever required by auditors, these are provided. There is more and more definitely a requirement for very centralized learning governance, which is very important because reporting capabilities definitely need a lot of security and confidentiality.

    What about the implementation team?

    The accuracy of whatever content is being created is very good because these courses are created in collaboration with centers of excellence and esteemed academic institutions, and that is why we have never faced backlash where people quote that content is irrelevant. Everything is very correct because it has been created under great supervision. Our faculty expertise is very high, with people having over 30 years of experience, so nobody usually questions them because they come from a background where they have been immersed in this field throughout their entire careers.

    Assessment  accuracy is definitely there because there are many structured assignments, quizzes, and other evaluations that we conduct. Accuracy is definitely there with 99.99 percent accuracy as per different reports that have been created and shared. The platform is very stable because all live recording sessions and live sessions are happening on it without the system lagging. I have never seen it crash. Consistency is there, and that is why we have said that it is quite scalable, quite reliable, and very accurate or near to accurate.

    What was our ROI?

    The return on investment is quite significant because employee productivity has increased to approximately 20 to 30 percent because business efficiency and business performance have increased. Employee retention has definitely improved. We are able to save a lot of cost and expense on recruitment, and there is essentially zero replacement cost. Because of the strong leadership development that we are enforcing, there is a reduced leadership gap and lesser risk.

    The programs are very scalable. We can actually launch multiple programs on a single platform in a unified manner without any technical hassle, operational hassle, or system hassle. Overall, there is reduced employee turnover. We are able to save a lot of money on recruitment costs. Productivity has definitely enhanced a lot. There is faster promotion and faster movement of upskilled employees from one department to another. Travel activities have been significantly reduced. We have been able to save a lot of money on these external factor costs. Overall, we have been able to generate a profit of approximately 30 to 40 percent over the past five years.

    What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

    From the past five years, employee retention is becoming higher and higher every year. The only reason for that is that employees have given personal feedback stating that they now see growth opportunities being given at the organizational level and there is a lot of scope for career development. Earlier this was not there, but now after the introduction of this platform, as time has passed, they are seeing that they are staying in the organization because they see the very good opportunities being given for learning and advancing within the organization.

    Career growth is definitely evident through new certifications. All of these are sponsored trainings. Employees are gaining new skills and certifications and are increasing their brand value. They are not only doing justice to the organization, but their personal brand value and personal brand image have also increased multifold. Those employees who have upskilled themselves are being recommended for internal mobility so that they can move into new roles internally in different departments and expand the horizon of their work experience and interests.

    We are now conducting many activities that are more inclined towards professional recognition and providing recognition to our people. Certifications and executive programs are adding a lot of value to these careers. All employees want a continuous learning curve or continuous learning trajectory in their professional journey. All these things are combining together and creating a very positive and gainful experience for individual employees.

    Which other solutions did I evaluate?

    We have used an internal solution that was created by a few of our information technology and content experts. It does not have a brand name yet because we are still in the final mode of getting it approved. We did conduct a few pilots with it, and it was working fine. However, we have not been able to rely on it for a longer period of time because it is yet to come in brand form in the market.

    What other advice do I have?

    I would always tell others to go ahead with the trial because TalentEdge is a very mature product. Talk to their leadership team and senior business team and ask for as much discount as can be given because that will definitely help to bargain more in the future and obtain better services or better product features for your activities at a lower cost. Also, observe whether your organizational objectives or goals will be met by introducing this platform. It is very important that you should only deploy this platform when your target beneficiary is ready to accept it. Conduct all necessary research around this, and if you see that it is a good fit, then proceed with it. I would rate this product and experience at a 9 out of 10.
