Riverbed Aternity shows you the end user experience on any application or device. Aternity ensures exceptional employee experience by correlating together device performance and health, a view of application performance as seen by the employee in the context of a business process, and qualitative measures of employee sentiment. Our lightweight agent is deployed the employee device and provides insights into end user issues and automated remediation so IT can identify and resolve them quickly.

Dimensions summary
You license this platform by device or usage, and combine parts to fit your needs. Aternity Enterprise, Essentials, and Mobile are per-device endpoint licenses, priced separately for Windows/Mac/Virtual Desktop or iOS/Android. Essentials also offers an expansion unit for adding devices. Add-ons layer on top: the EUEM Application Add-On, and the Intel Thunderbolt and Wi-Fi enhancement. Network monitoring uses separate NPM Plus units for customers with or without Aternity Enterprise. Riverbed IQ scales by node executions, with a base unit including a set monthly amount plus an incremental usage unit. Aternity 360 and an all-in-one bundle are also available.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each license covers one endpoint device. Enterprise and Essentials count each Windows, Mac, or Virtual Desktop as one device. Mobile counts each iOS or Android device as one. Every physical or virtual device where the agent runs counts separately, so your total scales with the number of monitored endpoints.
Riverbed IQ meters by node executions per month per tenant. The Base SKU includes 200,000 node executions monthly. To cover more activity, you add the incremental node unit, which provides up to 100,000 executed nodes per month per tenant. You stack these units to match your monthly execution volume.
NPM Plus has two license units covering all network monitoring modules on the Unified Agent. Choose the unit for customers without Aternity Enterprise if you do not hold an Enterprise license. Choose the unit for Aternity Enterprise customers if you already license Enterprise. The choice depends on your existing Aternity Enterprise status.
