Automation has transformed daily workflows and consistently saves hours in deployment tasks

    Reviewed on May 31, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Depot  is for automation purposes across my whole workflow, so I can use Depot  in my day-to-day tasks. Depot is really useful for automation purposes throughout the entire flow.

    What is most valuable?

The best features Depot offers, especially in AWS , really stand out to me because I am more familiar with AWS  and GCP . Regarding the AWS part, kubectl is basically the tool we can use because we do not need to memorize all kinds of commands, such as Kubernetes  commands and Docker  commands, since there are hundreds of commands we cannot memorize all of them. By using the kubectl AI, we can accomplish this by just entering a prompt.

Depot has positively impacted my organization because it increases productivity and improves the deployment process and development process, so it saves us much more time. Depot will basically speed things up. I have seen metrics that show Depot improves productivity around 50 to 60%, and roughly speaking, it saves us around three to four hours per day.

    What needs improvement?

There are many things I wish were different or better about Depot. There is a lot to improve in the product's functionality, especially regarding the use cases of Kubernetes . The provider is developing different tools such as integrating kubectl AI, which helps us manage Kubernetes platforms without memorizing all these commands by just entering a prompt.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Depot for around six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Depot is stable, though I have experienced some downtimes, such as failing pipelines when it is not working. We need to configure it properly, and if downtime occurs, for instance, in a specific region's availability zone, we may face malfunctions.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Depot's scalability has been as per our expectation, but there are limitations we encounter that we cannot quite specify.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for Depot has been good. We have communicated with the AWS team whenever we faced downtime and when some services were not working as expected, and they resolved the issues.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not use a different solution before Depot.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with Depot because we can consider the time saved.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Regarding my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Depot, I have faced many challenges with cost optimization. We need to manage what services we can use and optimize the cost, which is a bit difficult due to the multiple services we require to run our applications, impacting the cost.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Depot, I evaluated other options.

What other advice do I have?

Depot saves time, helps with cost optimization, improves productivity, and provides multiple tools that monitor activities such as load balancing, allowing me to manage my application smoothly, including creating multiple instances and many other things, which is sufficient for us. Depot's AI capabilities meet my expectations regarding governance and security, but because there is a vendor, we do depend on the cloud provider, and while data could be compromised as it is stored in a specific region, I can trust the cloud providers where we are storing our data, so it is all about trust.

Regarding the accuracy and reliability of Depot's output, I would say it meets our expectation, but I have noticed issues that occur about 50-50% of the time; however, there is something we need to improve. Currently, I am using GCP  for Depot, but I have previously worked with AWS and Azure , giving me experience with all three. I rated Depot an 8 out of 10 because it helps me improve productivity, saves a lot of time, guides me to optimize and reduce costs, and optimize the performance of containerized applications and managing load balancers.

IAM workflows have streamlined secure access to websites and magazines for new users

    Reviewed on May 28, 2026
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I have been using Depot  in my back-end work as a cybersecurity specialist, where we configure the IAM , Identity Access Management  part, for new user account creations handled by Human Resources. When they have their account, they need access to their website and magazine.

Our main use case for Depot  is to secure the platform, which means we create the workflow and the roles that give other users access to their magazine and website. For us, it is really about ensuring the back-end service works smoothly, checking the health of the website to make sure everything is operational and working, and making customers happier by allowing them access to their accounts.

Here  is one specific example of a workflow we set up with Depot that helped our team: imagine there is an HR person working with a new user who needs to create a magazine or website in Lille. They need access to Depot's website, so they rush to create their account, and for us, we have to create the site that allows them to access it. We create the workflow that gives them access to the entire platform while also implementing the provision policy that allows them access only to the elements they specifically need.

    What is most valuable?

The best features Depot offers for our team include providing a platform where we improve Depot. Depot does not need to provide us with any information, as we are the ones who improve it, ensuring the platform works correctly and users have access.

Some particularly useful features that help me do my job more efficiently include using EBM IAM  to create workflows, ensuring other teams work in directory management, such as Active Directory, while we focus on cybersecurity, and using EBM to ensure all services are working and connected.

Depot has positively impacted our organization by ensuring that everything works fully, which makes other clients really happy.

Positive outcomes since using Depot include other users appreciating the reduced number of incidents and user compliance, which makes them really happy because we work primarily in IT and support several applications users need to access.

    What needs improvement?

I think Depot can be improved by updating an old website I can refer to as Cognitune, where we create and manage aspects such as new managers needing access. Improving this tool to a new version would make us really happy.

For now, updating that old tool is the main area for improvement; everything else is acceptable.

On a scale of one to ten, I rate Depot a nine.

I choose nine out of ten because, in terms of security architecture, it is really good. However, they need improvement with older servers due to storage space issues, which prevents me from giving a perfect score of ten.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field from 2023 until November 2015, which is almost three years and one month.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Depot appears stable in my experience.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

In terms of scalability, I believe Depot can handle growth and more users easily, although they need to work on server size to ensure efficient handling.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support for Depot is really perfect. We have tiered support in our team, and both T2 and T3 levels are really happy with the service we provide.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We did not switch from a different solution to Depot. We are a consulting company working for Depot while also servicing other clients such as PME, Kingfisher, Costorama, and Boulanger.

    What was our ROI?

I do not have information regarding return on investment with Depot since we are the team ensuring the server works fully, which means we do not use Depot for our clients. We are the clients who improve Depot.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I do not have access to pricing or setup costs, but we have a license for the server, which includes creating licenses for any server, such as those needed for SSL.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Depot, we did not evaluate other options.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for others looking into using Depot is to be patient and to trust what the IT department advises. Do not rush things, and do not give your password to anybody. I rate this solution a nine out of ten.

Time savings have increased daily clients and improve revenue in my chiropractic practice

What is our primary use case?

I'm a freelance chiropractor and I use Depot  to manage payers. It is used for shaving mainly. A lot of customers come with Depot  products and we use them.

How has it helped my organization?

Depot has positively impacted my organization in an awesome way. The fact that I can save time gives me the possibility to have more clients during the day.

I save at least 20% each day because of Depot.

    What is most valuable?

Versatility and speed are the best features Depot offers in my opinion because it is faster and more reliable than some other products that I have used, and they perform not as well.

    What needs improvement?

Technology is always improving, and putting new technology would be an improvement for my job. I feel fine with the actual platform.

Depot is a useful tool and there is space for improvement, but I can't figure out what can be done, which is why I chose eight out of ten.

For how long have I used the solution?

I'm using products from Depot for the last ten years, maybe.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    Depot is stable.

How are customer service and support?

I've been lucky with the customer support for Depot; I didn't need any kind of specific intervention from customer care.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

It is my first time using this kind of solution, so I did not previously use a different solution.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment because the fact that I can have more clients generates better revenue at the end of the day.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I don't know exactly about the pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Depot because my accountant follows this for me.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I went straight to Depot before choosing it; I did not evaluate other options.

What other advice do I have?

Use Depot because you will save time and money. I give Depot a rating of eight out of ten.

It just works, faster CI at half the cost

What do you like best about the product?
from the beginning, Depot has always acted with urgency on our interactions, the setup is literally installing their Github App and changinging a single line

Settiing up Depot was the most effective initiative in 2024 and it was only a week of effort, including writing the business case and presenting to the VP. It was really easy to convince management and after a few months of usage we observed 60% cost redution
What do you dislike about the product?
During onboarding we had a surprise with job queue time, which is the time from we trigger a job to the time the job is running.

Depot prioritized solving this issue, and within a week they deployed a new implementation that stabilized queue times to an acceptable range
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Depot offers an alternative to using Github on-demand runners.
Depot runners are hosted in AWS which allow me to rely on implementation assumptions.

    For example:
When we use Github Ondemand runners, we had to also use Github Container Registry (ghcr.io), using an alternative like AWS Elastic Container Registry (ECR) would cost extra on data transfer, but with Depot Runners we can safely use any AWS service without cost penalties

What do you like best about the product?
Depot is one of the best decisions I made for our team. The accelerator to DevX here is massive. We had orders of magnitude increase in our CI/CD pipelines allowing for more test coverage and quality because of the speed and cost savings that Depot provided.

Very few products just work the way Depot just works. Its stable, dependable, and basically a NOOP to implement. Every single time we've needed assistance the Depot team has been dilligent to jump in to help, and solve our problems. We moved quickly to replace all of our workflows in github actions with these runners, and developers used depot cross container builds every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
That Kyle and Jacob waited until 2022 to start this. I really don't have any critiques to add at this point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Increase speed of CI/CD pipelines, reduce overall costs of automation. Ease develpor integration with a much more stable runners platform, while also allowing developers to build cross container builds with multiple hours per day saved in this process. The recent moves to make the deep caching product available to remote use is amazing and while we haven't begun to leverage that feature yet it is very promising.
