Plesk for AlmaLinux - WordPress & Website Hosting Environment

My main use case for Plesk  is that it allows our organization to help manage our servers with an intuitive user interface that grew along with us. Plesk  has a large number of integrations and extensions that can bring in a number of different tasks under one roof. The ability to house our entire platform together in one system has saved us time and money.

Some of the best features that I regularly use or Plesk has to offer include server management platform, all-in-one system, growth and scalability, time savings, and reducing inefficiencies.

Out of those features, I find myself relying on server management, growth and scalability, and time savings the most day-to-day because it enables me to set up a schedule to back up our websites automatically and easily download or save the backup files offsite for safety. I also love that it automatically updates the CMS, plugins, and templates of all our websites depending on our CMS, all at the same time with just a few strokes of the keyboard.

I would add that it also makes it easy for users to use a backup file to restore a website with just a few strokes of the keyboard, where it offers an excellent service.

Plesk has positively impacted my organization because I love the automated updating of WordPress sites using the free WordPress Toolkit. Ease  of use in creating databases for each website and using the database to reinstall our website should the need arise is invaluable. I also love the ability to update all my WordPress websites easily from one location within the control panel with just a few clicks of the keyboard and update all websites at once, saving a lot of time.

I think Plesk can be improved by offering better integration with independent WAF  tools such as Wordfence. Additionally, it should create a simple function for staging sites and to push from staging to live.

I would add that Plesk should provide a function to back up DNS settings before making changes.

I have been using Plesk for four years and several months.

I find Plesk to be stable as I have not experienced any lagging or downtime, so it is very stable.

Plesk's scalability is highly efficient, and it can handle my organization's growth efficiently.

The customer support is very responsive and helpful.

I previously used AWS Trusted Advisor  and switched from AWS Trusted Advisor  to Plesk because Plesk has a much more intuitive platform that allows for customization and scalability within my organization. It has the advantage when it comes to the ability to adapt to the current state of the company and grow with it organically.

I have seen a return on investment. The return on investments is noticeable as the turnaround time is reduced. Early alarms for CPU usage give insights into every running application.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing indicates that the pricing is very cost-effective and the licensing cost is affordable.

Before choosing Plesk, I evaluated other options such as PandaDoc .

A quick specific example of how I use Plesk in my daily work is that it is well-suited when needing to bring in multiple systems and functionality into one platform to help reduce inefficiencies and create continuity throughout the organization.

I can share that we have saved about two to three hours per day since using Plesk. The time savings and eliminating redundancies reduce the need for multiple systems and speed up each project, creating more visibility into what teams are working on and getting projects done faster.

My advice to others looking into using Plesk is that it is a great tool that is well-suited when needing to bring in multiple systems and functionality into one platform to help reduce inefficiencies and create continuity throughout the organization. It may not be as useful as desired for an organization with multiple departments that are unable to work seamlessly together, but for a growing organization such as ours, it is very effective. I give this product a rating of 9 out of 10.

What do you like best about the product?

It is one of the best website and deployement tool i have used. Not providing only just one features but its like a suite of features with one single easy to use platform that helps to manage websites, servers not only the deployement is covered but also monitoring is also done on same platform. The plesk 360 platform is very cleanly designed and also new webpros platform is also there. I have been using it frequently from past few months and i found many new features to learn that i don't understand earlier. It can be easily integrated with other third party tools and the plugins can also be installed based on the need. It can handle not only custom coded website but also the wordpress website . The customer support is also there to resolve the issues.

What do you dislike about the product?

One of the best thing that i would like to mention that to test all their features and get the familiarity of their platform they provide the free trial that gives enough time to completely check their features. I would like to add that video tutorials can be more helpful for the beginners who don't want to read documentation.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am using it to serve the hosting of the websites including the custom coded website and the wordpress website to make them live on the internet. The 360 platform is very fast and also deployment is fast and easy to perform.

What I like best about Plesk is its clean, unified interface that makes server and website management simple and efficient.
It allows easy handling of domains, emails, databases, DNS, and SSL from a single dashboard.
Plesk also offers strong built-in security like Let’s Encrypt, firewalls, and malware protection.
Its support for both Linux and Windows servers makes it flexible for different hosting needs.

What do you dislike about the product?

What I dislike about Plesk is that it can feel resource-heavy, especially on smaller or low-spec servers. Some advanced features depend on paid extensions, which increases overall cost.
The licensing model can become expensive as the number of domains grows.
Occasionally, updates or extensions may cause compatibility or stability issues.
For advanced custom server configurations, manual control is more limited compared to pure command-line setups.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Plesk solves the problem of complex and time-consuming server administration by bringing all hosting tasks into a single, easy-to-use control panel.
It reduces manual effort in managing websites, databases, emails, DNS, and SSL, saving time and minimizing errors. Automated tools for WordPress management, backups, and security improve reliability and consistency. This benefits me by speeding up deployments, reducing operational overhead, and allowing me to focus more on application and business work instead of server maintenance.

My main use case for Plesk  is to host domains, email hosting, and websites. In my daily work, I have hosted many websites related to e-commerce websites, ERP  websites, and day-to-day email solutions using Plesk  for hosting domains, email, or websites.

Plesk offers excellent features including Plesk email security, Plesk backup manager, and Let's Encrypt SSL. Plesk has impacted our organization positively by allowing us to host multiple domains, and we can manage thousands of websites in a single control panel. Managing thousands of websites in a single control panel has helped our team by providing a centralized environment where we can host multiple websites securely and manage the backups as well.

Plesk provides all-in-one bundle solutions such as backup, email, email hosting, and domains.

Plesk's user interface must be improved. The performance is good, but it would be beneficial if there were an option for OpenLightSpeed or any LightSpeed web server for needed improvements in Plesk.

I have been using Plesk for the last six years.

Plesk is stable, but sometimes we face issues related to updates.

Plesk's scalability is good; however, sometimes users face issues specific to Windows servers.

Plesk services are provided to many of our clients. I would rate Plesk overall a 10 out of 10. I chose this rating because we have been using Plesk for many years, and it has been providing reliable services and solutions. My advice to others looking into using Plesk is that Plesk is lightweight compared to cPanel , but you should still use at least two virtual CPUs and 4 GB RAM. While hosting WordPress, you should avoid cheap shared VPS plans because Plesk becomes slow and backups time out. Extensions such as Plesk Migrator and Plesk Email Security  are excellent. We are a partner with Plesk, which represents our business relationship with this vendor in addition to being a customer.
