Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance size you run. All 26 dimensions bill the same way; they differ only by the compute instance you choose. The t2 and t3 families cover smaller general-purpose workloads. The m3, m4, and m5 families cover larger memory and compute needs, scaling from large up to 24xlarge sizes. Your hourly cost rises with the instance's capacity. This software fee is added on top of standard AWS infrastructure charges. Each option includes the same deployment, security scanning, and 24/7 support.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover for each instance type?
Each unit is one running EC2 instance measured per hour. You pay for one instance of the size you launch, such as t3.medium or m5.4xlarge. Larger instance types carry more CPU and memory, and their hourly software rate is higher. The count reflects hours the instance runs, not the number of users.
Am I charged the software fee when my instance is stopped?
The hourly software fee applies only while the instance runs. A stopped or terminated instance stops accruing software charges. Stopped instances may still incur standard AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from this product's hourly software rate.
What do I get with the hourly fee beyond the software itself?
Every instance size includes the same package: 1-click deployment, pre-configured security with continuous scans, and 24/7 support. The support commitment includes a 30-minute response target and a stated goal of resolving issues within 48 hours. These are bundled into the hourly rate regardless of instance size.
