You pay by the hour for the compute instance running Proven. Two instance types are available: t3.medium and t3a.medium. Both are similarly sized general-purpose instances, so the choice reflects the underlying processor family rather than a difference in capability. Billing is usage-based, meaning charges accrue for each hour an instance runs. There are no tiers or feature levels here — you select the instance type that fits your infrastructure and scale by running more hours or instances as your credential workload grows.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Both are similarly sized general-purpose instances that run the Proven software. The difference is the underlying processor family, not capability. Each accrues charges per hour it runs. You pick the type that fits your infrastructure; the choice does not change what Proven can do.
Hourly software charges accrue only while an instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS storage fees may still apply to a stopped instance. The software meter counts running hours only, so pausing workloads reduces software cost.
There are no tiers or feature levels to upgrade. You scale by running instances for more hours or by running more instances. Proven is built to scale from small use cases to national and global identity verification, so you add capacity as demand rises.
