"# Connecting to Asana's MCP Server
The Asana MCP server is available at:
<https://mcp.asana.com/sse>
This server requires authentication with your Asana account. When connecting, you will be prompted to authorize the application to access your Asana data.
🔒 Allowlist
Due to the implementation of an OAuth redirect URI allowlist, some third-party applications might require additional configuration or registration of their redirect URI with Asana Support before a successful connection can be established. If you’re a maintainer of an MCP client, see Integrating with Asana’s MCP Server for details on how to register.

If that does not address the issue or you see a ""Client not found"" error, try removing the Asana MCP integration within your client and adding it back. -

- A compatible MCP client (Claude.ai, Cursor, or any application that has implemented an MCP client)
- The app named "Asana MCP" is not blocked via Asana app management .
If you're not sure if the app is blocked, try to connect your MCP client to the server and go through the authorization flow. You'll either be able to authorize the app like normal or, if the app is currently blocked, be prompted to send a request for your admin to unblock the app for your domain.

Asana is easy to use and keeps projects organized with task assignments, deadlines, and clear progress tracking, making team collaboration more efficient
What do you dislike about the product?
Some advanced features are only available in the paid plans, and new users may need some time to learn all the functionality. The notification settings can also become overwhelming when working on multiple projects.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how organized and structured it is. I can update the status of my work and see the priority of each task

The desktop app glitches a lot and I find the AI pushes to be annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping my team assign tasks to interns better. Instead of second guessing their progress, we can see where they are in a project and tell them the priority.

I like that you can collaborate with team members and organize tasks into projects into portfolios so you have everything in one place. It makes it easier to track tasks with the rest of the team.

Sometimes the fields are hidden and its hard to know about all of the features Asana offers.

It is keeping task management clear and easy to follow. It is also making it easier to track due dates and communicate with the team

I like it's integration with Claude, since doing so, I have made my project and task tracking process much more efficient and effective

The UI is still a little complex and there are additional features that I don't fully understand how to use to improve my project management

there are still some features that either don't work, or I have trouble setting up - for example, sending the tasks to a specific email that would then add those tasks to the specific project, and also to the specific column
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping the project on track, and how I can set up the Zapier automation, using it.
