The Asana MCP server is available at:
<https://mcp.asana.com/sse>
This server requires authentication with your Asana account. When connecting, you will be prompted to authorize the application to access your Asana data.
🔒 Allowlist
Due to the implementation of an OAuth redirect URI allowlist, some third-party applications might require additional configuration or registration of their redirect URI with Asana Support before a successful connection can be established. If you’re a maintainer of an MCP client, see Integrating with Asana’s MCP Server for details on how to register.

Clear Client Visibility and Fast Approvals with Asana Guest Projects

What do you like best about the product?
I’m a freelance web developer with about three clients at any time, and a big part of my week used to be answering the same email: “Hey, how’s it going?” Now each client gets their own project in Asana and I add them as a guest, so they only see their own tasks and nothing else. They can see what’s done and what’s next, and they leave comments right on the task. Last month a client said she never approved a homepage change. I opened the task and her “looks good, go ahead” comment was right there with the date, and the conversation ended in about a minute.
What do you dislike about the product?
One client never logged in at all, so I still send her a short email every Friday. Another found even the simple view confusing at first, and I had to do a ten minute call to walk her through it. It’s also easy to forget that guests can read the comments, so I had to get into the habit of keeping my private notes somewhere else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana won’t write the code, but it took a good chunk of the back and forth out of my week. Clients feel informed without having to ask, and I have a record of what they agreed to. It works best if you spend a few minutes at the start showing them around, since not every client will figure it out alone.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to manage all my projects and coordinate tasks with rest of my team. Instead of following up via a meeting, I can assign tasks within the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to create sub-sections within a project tab.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The organization did not have a project management tool, and now our team is empowered to create their own projects within a tool to keep us in track.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana lets our team see what tasks are on everyone’s plates and what’s outstanding, and communicate in one place about tasks. It’s intuitive, user-friendly, and easy to navigate, and the interface isn’t clunky. I think the collaborators feature is cool. We integrated AI bots that automatically create tasks after someone submits a form, which is great. A staff member picked it up pretty quickly after I introduced it.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Asana easy to use. I use it to manage projects and tasks and keep track of deadlines. I like being able to share project details and tasks with my team, and the initial setup was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’d like Asana to send reminders with deadlines and completion percentages for each project or task.

What do you like best about the product?
This year I organized my younger sister's quinceañera and the whole family wanted to help, which was nice but also chaotic. Every aunt asked the same thing on WhatsApp: "What should I bring?", "Who talked to the venue?" I created a project in Asana with a task for each thing, the cake, the waltz, the souvenirs, the DJ, and assigned each one to someone with its date. Within the tasks, I put small subtasks, like requesting three quotes or confirming the menu. What helped me the most was seeing everything by sections because one day I noticed that the DJ's part hadn't moved for two weeks, so I called my cousin before it became a problem. I also made a form for guests to answer what food they don't eat or if they are vegetarians, and the responses came in as tasks without me having to write anything down.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two of my aunts never opened the invitation email, so I had to call them and give them their tasks over the phone. In the end, I kept sending some reminders via WhatsApp, so I couldn't leave that chat entirely. I also went overboard at first with the color tags and spent a weekend simplifying them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I thought using Asana for a family party was too much, but it saved me a lot of messages and stress. No one was left not knowing what they had to do, and I stopped carrying the entire list in my head. The party went well, and my sister didn't even know everything that was behind it. You just have to accept that not the whole family will use the app, and that's okay.
