What do you like best about the product?
I like the scalability and customization options in IBM Maximo Application Suite. I can use automation scripts, overwrite Java classes, create applications from scratch, and create custom workflows. I upgraded from 7.6 to IBM Maximo Application Suite, and it wasn’t that bad. There were some glitches, but the overall experience was decent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updates tend to bring issues into the system, and IBM support isn’t always helpful, so I end up finding my own way to solve them. My upgrade from 7.6 to IBM Maximo Application Suite wasn’t that bad, but it has glitches here and there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use IBM Maximo Application Suite to manage our assets, work orders, scheduling, and financials.

The suite combines a rational set of functionality covering all facets of facility and asset management.

In general, the overhead created by Open Shift.

Maximo provides the system of record for all information we collect around our assets. It helps by providing what to do on what asset at the correct time and what has been done for regulatory requirements.

What do you like best about the product?
We use Maximo for our warehousing inventory management and to maintain work orders within our workflow. We have an on-prem Maximo setup across our different mills, which connects to vendor systems so we can request spares and equipment based on our current status.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like more integration with our on-prem systems rather than the cloud, since we own and manage our data systems entirely on-prem. It would be helpful to have an easier way to set up an on-prem gateway, and to support connecting across different network domains.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s a centralized platform for our mill to stay on top of our current inventory status, and it’s been really beneficial for budgeting our upcoming purchases. The integration with other IBM systems and ERP systems is also pretty intuitive.
