Overview
WarpStream is a data streaming platform that provides a Apache Kafka® protocol-compatible interface for reading and writing data. WarpStream utilizes cloud object storage, such as S3, as the primary and only storage, with no local disks. This design enables WarpStream to directly read from and write to object storage, eliminating cross-AZ replication charges that are inherent in Kafka's design.
Additionally, unlike Kafka, WarpStream's compute layer is stateless, enabling instant and unlimited scalability while eliminating much of the operational burden associated with Kafka. Compared to Kafka, WarpStream is a more cost-effective system that can scale elastically, and offers easier operability in the public cloud.

Pricing

These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
