    What do you like best about the product?
    What I like the most about CleverTap is how easy it is to use, even for someone without a technical or programming background. While there is a learning curve—as with any powerful tool—it is very manageable, and a non-technical user can quickly become proficient. This has made it much easier for me to execute campaigns and analyze performance without depending heavily on technical teams.
    From a UI/UX perspective, the platform is very intuitive and well-structured. I can easily organize my workspace, build dashboards, and visualize key metrics in a matter of minutes. The ability to create analytics and reporting boards quickly has significantly improved my workflow, especially when I need to present results or make data-driven decisions.
    Another major advantage is the real-time tracking of user behavior. CleverTap allows me to monitor events and user activities as they happen, giving me immediate insights into how users interact with our products. This is extremely valuable for segmentation, as it provides rich user-level data that helps create highly targeted and effective campaigns.
    The message preview functionality is also very helpful. Being able to visualize messages before sending them ensures better quality and consistency in communication. On top of that, the AI-powered features for message creation are a strong differentiator. The AI not only helps with copywriting but also provides insights into expected engagement or acceptance rates, which helps optimize campaigns before launch. It even supports decisions like the best timing for message delivery.
    In terms of integrations and orchestration, CleverTap makes it easy to manage multiple channels and build end-to-end user journeys. This allows for more consistent and personalized communication across touchpoints.
    From a performance and ROI standpoint, the platform enables faster execution of campaigns, better segmentation, and more precise targeting, which directly translates into improved engagement and conversion rates.
    Finally, the platform offers strong support for onboarding and continuous use, with resources that make it easier to learn and scale usage over time.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Overall, I have had a very positive experience with CleverTap and consider it a comprehensive and powerful platform. However, there are a few areas that could be improved.
    One limitation I have noticed is when trying to extract more complex datasets that require combining multiple variables. In these cases, it is often necessary to rely on external tools to properly export and process the data. This can add friction to the workflow, especially when deeper analysis is required. Enhancing native capabilities for advanced data exports or cross-variable analysis within the platform would significantly improve usability.
    Another point to highlight is related to Journeys performance and data accuracy. At times, I have experienced inconsistencies in reporting, where the number of users entering a step does not match the number of users receiving communications in subsequent steps. For example, a journey might show 500 users entering a step, but only 200 receiving a message, followed by a later step showing a higher number again. This can create confusion and makes it harder to fully trust or interpret campaign performance. Improving transparency and reliability in journey reporting would be very valuable.
    Additionally, from a localization perspective, there is room for improvement in NPS templates for Spanish-speaking markets, particularly in Latin America. Currently, some standard elements like buttons (“Next”, “Back”) are not fully adapted into Spanish, which can lead to a less intuitive experience for users. Providing fully localized templates would greatly enhance usability and customer experience in these regions.
    Addressing these areas—advanced data handling, journey reporting consistency, and localization—would further strengthen an already robust platform and improve the overall user experience.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Before using CleverTap, we struggled with manual campaign execution and limited visibility into user behavior. Sending push or in-app messages required more operational effort, and segmentation was less dynamic and harder to scale.
    With CleverTap, we are now able to automate end-to-end customer journeys, especially for push notifications and messaging campaigns. The Journeys feature has been a key improvement, as it allows us to design automated flows based on both user actions and inactions, creating highly personalized experiences without constant manual intervention.
    This has had a direct impact on our efficiency. Execution time has been reduced by approximately 50%, as campaigns can now run automatically once configured. Instead of manually triggering communications, we can rely on real-time behaviors to activate messages.
    Another major benefit is the ability to work with real-time segmentation. Thanks to live triggers and behavioral tracking, we can group users dynamically based on their activity, which allows us to deliver much more relevant and timely communications. This has improved engagement and made our campaigns more effective.
    Additionally, CleverTap provides strong visibility into user interactions, allowing us to track events and understand the full customer journey. This helps us identify drop-offs, optimize flows, and continuously improve performance.
    The platform also enables us to scale our marketing efforts without increasing operational complexity. What previously required multiple manual steps can now be executed through a single automated journey.

    Focused event tracking has increased subscription revenue and reduces payment dropoffs

    What is our primary use case?

    I am using CleverTap  mainly for recording customer events, such as when a user opens my payment page or initiates a payment to track user dropoffs. If users come to my website and navigate to the payment page, then initiate a payment and instantly go back, I record the event so that my customer team can reach out to them to convince them to give discount prices and make the sales.

    I noticed many changes. Looking at my previous data without CleverTap , the revenue was very low. After using CleverTap, this revenue is increasing day by day. My platform is an OTT platform with a subscription price of 600 rupees per month. When a user comes to my site and logs in, they create an account with their mobile number, then go to the payment section and try to make a payment. However, when they see that the amount is expensive, they immediately cancel the payment and go back. Without CleverTap, I could not track that the user was backing out from the page because of the prices. CleverTap has the feature that tracks the event when a user has canceled the payment, so my customer team can reach out to the customer and ask what the problem is. Then they can give the customer a certain amount of discount, such as 25% or 30%, to make them a special customer and encourage them to buy the plan. This has reduced my sales drop from 100% to 50%.

    I have the numbers to support this. Before using CleverTap, our sales last month were 57 lakhs. When we started using CleverTap, the sales automatically increased to 97 lakhs, which is a huge number. The main cases are that when a user sees the large amount of 600 rupees, they cancel the payment. CleverTap helps us track that the customer is canceling for this reason.

    I use CleverTap mostly for this purpose only. I have not tried other features yet.

    What is most valuable?

    In my opinion, CleverTap has provided this tracking event style tracker. They also have the dashboard where I can see which event is redeeming, along with percentage and graph data. This is a nice feature. I have seen other tracking tools, and I have tried Churnkey. However, Churnkey has multiple steps to track why a user is canceling a subscription. CleverTap is asynchronous and processes it in the background. The user does not have to interrupt this process.

    I mostly use the dashboard feature. I can see that if a user is opening the payment page, it shows that 60% of users are opening the page. They then show that in that 60% of users, 50% are canceling the event. I can figure out that the most likely reason the event is canceling is because of the payment size. I can then redeem my plan size or include a new small package for that as well.

    The main impact is sales growth, which was not possible for my company before.

    What needs improvement?

    I would recommend improving the website loading time because whenever I open the CleverTap website to see my dashboard data, it takes a bit of time. This could be improved with caching. I have been facing this issue quite often. However, I do not have a problem with this because if I get the exact data, I can wait a little bit of time for that.

    The dashboard loading time is the main thing for me, and there is nothing much else.

    For how long have I used the solution?

    I have been using CleverTap for the last one year in my production in my office.

    What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    CleverTap is very stable.

    What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

    I am using it with 10 million users, so you can consider how scalable it is. I am using large-scale applications.

    How are customer service and support?

    CleverTap handles customer service nicely. Whenever I email them, they respond within two hours.

    Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

    I used Churnkey, as I already mentioned, but it was the most annoying thing, and my customers also complained about this. I removed that and used CleverTap instead.

    How was the initial setup?

    I did not evaluate anything. I directly chose CleverTap because my friend was already using it and told me to use this. I did not try anything else.

    What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

    It was a great price-to-value ratio. CleverTap has a nice pricing structure. They do not need any updates for plan or pricing things.

    Which other solutions did I evaluate?

    I would definitely choose CleverTap for tracking user events. For tracking, you can use this. It is a very useful tool, rather than Churnkey. You can use it because Churnkey's customer service is very bad, but CleverTap supports very nicely.
